DIY Christmas Candles: Step by step preparation of the candle
Step 1
Pour the soy wax and about fifteen drops of essential oil into a sachet provided for this purpose. Close everything with a rubber band. In a pan of cold water, immerse the preparation. Heat over low heat in a bain-marie (do not bring to the boil). Once the preparation is ready, remove the sachet from the pan of hot water.

Step 2
Place the candle wick in the center of the jar using the glue gun and a skewer. To keep the wick straight along the skewer, use a clothespin to hold it all together.
Step 3
Place your container on a cutting board to avoid any spills on your work surface. Pour the wax in 2 or 3 times and pause between each step to allow the wax to set.
Before the wax hardens, remove the skewer. Let it dry for a good two hours then cut off the excess wicks with scissors. It will take 24 hours for your candles to be ready to use.

Step 4
To decorate your candles, cut out your decals and place them on each jar. Add a little string to the top of the jar. And if you want to offer this candle as a gift, I have prepared some labels to finish it all off.

Daphne
Hello,
I love this little DIY, and the downloadable patterns are just perfect.
I just have a quick question, in your tutorial it seems to me that you use stickers and not decals, right?
The result is still splendid, I will recommend it on my FB page. And take the time to search your blog…
Thank you very much
Very happy holidays to you

Hello Clementine!
Thanks for this great tutorial! By the way, I love your blog!
I'm going for it! I would like to know the quantity of wax to use in this tutorial? Is it correct for 3 candles?
Thank you in advance for your response.
Have a nice day and a happy December!

Clementine
JulieHello Julie!
It's hard to give you an exact answer. It all depends on the container used. I was going for 500 grams of wax.
Beautiful day !
Julie
Perfect! Thank you very much!
Do you also dip the wicks in wax beforehand?
