Wedding Capsule 2026: Faubourg Saint Sulpice x Anne de Lafforest

Custom-made bridal suit: the Faubourg Saint Sulpice x Anne de Lafforest capsule collection

When two exceptional houses combine their talents, magic happens. This is what happened between Faubourg Saint Sulpice, master of men's tailor-made clothing and partner of elegant brides and grooms, and Anne de Lafforest, creator of refined and timeless wedding dresses. From their meeting was born a unique collaboration: a capsule of two bridal suits, designed for those who dare to shake up the codes while embodying modernity and sophistication.

In the hushed atmosphere of Anne de Lafforest's newly opened showroom, it became clear: their worlds, their expertise, and their values complemented each other with rare harmony. A few hours and a passionate exchange later, the fabrics were chosen, and the first lines of this capsule collection were already sketched out.

True to their love of impeccable cuts, beautiful French materials and Customised support!, the designers have imagined two unique and complementary silhouettes: Bennet, structured and daring with its 7/8° pants, and Brooks, fluid and sensual with its shawl collar jacket. Two interpretations of the same manifesto: to offer brides a confident, elegant and timeless look, in homage to the iconic feminine suit initiated by Yves Saint Laurent.

With this capsule collection, Anne de Lafforest and Faubourg Saint Sulpice invite brides to celebrate their big day with style, confidence and boldness - because the suit now has its place alongside the wedding dress in the 21st century bridal wardrobe.

The meeting and the common vision

How did this collaboration between Faubourg Saint Sulpice and Anne de Lafforest come about?

During  The inauguration of Anne de Lafforest's new showroom at the beginning of the year, the meeting was an obvious one. The two worlds and expertise will combine to create two bridal outfits
By this evening, the fabrics had already been chosen! On the fringes of the party, in the cozy setting of the workshop, the three designers Anne and Blandine (Anne  de Lafforest) and Kevin (Faubourg Saint Sulpice) came together to think about, perfect and create these two pretty silhouettes.

What shared values brought you together around this wedding project?

The values of our workshops are identical: quality craftsmanship with highly skilled hands, at the service of our future brides and grooms. Lovers of beautiful materials and impeccable cuts, we all pay the same special attention to our brides and grooms to accompany them with kindness in this important moment.

What vision of modern marriage do you want to convey through this capsule?

As ardent defenders of timeless and classic lines throughout our collections, we wanted to highlight the women's suit, in homage to YSL. A pioneer of this daring and dazzling outfit, this piece, which has become a must-have in the 21st-century women's wardrobe, remains an ultra-trendy and modern choice.

The Faubourg Saint Sulpice & Anne Capsule Collection by Lafforest

Can you describe the aesthetics and spirit of this collection in a few words?

This capsule collection of two suits was built on three pillars: an elegant, feminine and confident look.

What does a bride look like wearing a costume from this capsule collection?

Brides choose these suits to highlight their silhouette and dazzle the audience with that unique balance that a suit can offer a woman: a bold and proud look, with a lot of femininity and seduction.

What details, materials or cuts make these creations unique?

Both suits are made from fabrics from Anne de Lafforest, in the Faubourg Saint Sulpice workshops. It's a true communion of our expertise. The fabrics are French, and guarantee a perfect drape and color for brides. As for the cuts, each of the two suits follows very distinct codes: Bennet is structured and we all love his 7/8° pants. Brooks, on the other hand, is more fluid and his shawl collar jacket feels like a caress on the skin.

What were your biggest challenges or inspirations in creating these pieces?

The biggest challenge was finding the silhouettes that would best meet the brides' wishes while offering unique designs. For an outfit as iconic as a suit, the challenge was significant. That's why the collaboration focuses on these two very different yet complementary silhouettes.

The bride in costume: boldness and elegance

Why do you think more and more women are choosing suits for their weddings?

Thanks to the media coverage of this look among celebrities and on social media, the suit for civil weddings is indeed attracting more and more brides. But this choice also responds to a deep desire for self-affirmation. The suit offers young women a more daring and fashionable alternative to the little white dress. The ability to wear the outfit again after the wedding also plays a role.

Which bride profiles particularly identify with it?

The brides who choose our tailors are radiant, confident young women who want to follow their desires 1000% without relying solely on the advice and recommendations of those around them. They have character and a strong style, without necessarily being very fashionable. They want to be beautiful, unforgettable, and captivate the audience on the big day. And they also want to be comfortable in an outfit that's 100% tailor-made.

How can a costume rival – or even complement – the emotion evoked by a traditional wedding dress?

Choosing a suit is the opposite of choosing a traditional wedding dress. And it is in this complete opposition that these two silhouettes find their complementarity. Thus, the bride offers herself a surprise effect for each stage of her wedding. This also allows young women to show several facets of their personalities. It is often a dilemma for future brides to choose only one outfit, and it is often the traditional wedding dress that prevails. By choosing a suit in parallel, they can also express their character and their deeper personality, without having to give up the dress of their dreams and the timeless and universal choice of the traditional dress.

The tailor-made experience

What does personalized support for a bride-to-be actually entail? And how do you divide up the roles?

At Anne de Lafforest, we welcome brides-to-be to our showroom to allow them to discover the costumes and choose the cut that best suits their personality and their civil wedding. It is a privileged moment of exchange, where we accompany them on the style, the materials and the accessories so that they can fully project themselves into their outfit on the big day. Alongside Anne and Cassilda, our stylist, each bride benefits from a creative and caring look to define her final choice.

Once this step is completed, the technical part is carried out by the expert tailors of Faubourg Saint SulpiceTheir unique know-how guarantees a production  Made-to-measure, made exclusively to order. Each suit is tailored to the bride's precise measurements and is subject to fittings and alterations to achieve a perfect fit. It is this complementarity between stylistic guidance and tailoring expertise that allows us to offer a truly bespoke experience.

What advice would you give to a bride who is hesitating between a dress and a suit?

The best advice we can give to this bride-to-be is to clearly define what makes her choose a suit or a dress. Often, in this case, brides-to-be are torn between their deep desire to wear a suit, and the recommendations of those around them to stay more traditional with a little white dress. So, obviously, to these brides-to-be, we can only tell them to go for it and listen to themselves and only themselves ! This outfit is theirs and it should reflect their personality and their wishes. They won't regret it!

What does the creative process look like: from the first meeting to the final fitting?

Future brides are invited to discover the costumes Brooks et Bennet at the showroom Anne de Lafforest, located in the 8ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. The appointment to discover our civil collection is completely free and can be easily booked online via our website. For one hour, we accompany each bride during her fitting to help her choose between the two suits. This special moment allows you to benefit from our body shape and style advice, and to take advantage of all the accessories in the showroom to project yourself into a complete look. Future brides can also select, from among the tops in our civil collection, the one that will best highlight their body shape and perfect their outfit.

Once their choice has been confirmed at Anne de Lafforest, it is within the Faubourg Saint Sulpice workshop located in the 7e The so-called "technical" fittings take place in the Parisian district. Our team welcomes brides-to-be to take their measurements. A stylist consultant will guide them through the creative process, analyzing their body shape, attitude, and needs. Nothing is left to chance to ensure the outfit is tailored to the client's needs and provides optimal comfort.

Inspirations and projections

Which icons, universes or trends inspired you for this capsule?

obviously, Bianca Jagger, essential and unforgettable in her YSL suit on her wedding day, inspired us a lot. The chic and structured look of Dior suits by Raf Simons and the more fluid and relaxed look of designer suits like Dries Van Notten also inspired us for the two very different lines of Brooks et Bennet.

What complementary looks do you imagine for a modern wedding?

  • For the civil ceremony : the costume of his choice between Bennet et Brooks and a little Jane bra (soon available on our website) in jacquard.
  • For the religious ceremony : the dress Halley, our dazzling, all-jacquard strapless dress, woven exclusively for Anne de Lafforest.
  • For the evening : optional evening dress, the model Scotti from the new Comet collection, from 2026, or Berlin from the Intemporelles collection. Wear with a draped silk chiffon belt or a sequin-embroidered braid (available exclusively on request at the showroom).
For those who prefer a short dress, Thelma from our Civile collection with its sequined fabric is perfect! Whatever happens, keep your suit jacket handy to throw over your shoulders if it's a bit chilly outside!
  • For brunch, the bride to choose our top TOINE from the Civil collection to wear with your suit pants or nice white jeans and sandals Gattaca ou doyou from Nomasei. And second option for a chic and relaxed look, our April jumpsuit.
