Cecile Casabianca, the history of the brand
"As a creator and craftsman, I offer pieces that I hope are unique. I seek to promote artistic craftsmanship and its know-how to highlight the femininity and boldness of "my" brides.
CECILE CASABIANCA was created in 2009. Initially, there was ready-to-wear in unique pieces and/or made to measure. It was only in 2016-2017, with maturity and increased know-how that the brand moved towards the world of weddings with three desires:
- Putting artistic craftsmanship and its know-how in the spotlight by offering precious and unique pieces like the women who wear them.
- Establish a real human and caring exchange with future brides to create a happy memory in the organization of their weddings.
- Valorizing raw materials and work responsibly and thoughtfully to progress in an ecological approach.”

“The brand’s key words are:
SENSUALITY – FEMININITY – CASUALTY – TIMELESSNESS
[... A silhouette : The base is sober, refined, sometimes monastic. The shoulders are marked, drawn, shouldered. A cheeky side is distilled by small touches that come to distort a first impression of classicism by details. A slit ruffles a skirt, an opening lets glimpse the back, such is the provocative touch of the brand.
[... Fabric : Working with one fabric for the entire dress is something I particularly like. Giving full scope to a material, working it in different ways to create shadows, movements and volumes is a characteristic of the brand.
[... A braid : It is undoubtedly the emblem of the brand, it appears on practically all models.
[... The human : Support is a service that I am attached to. I like to work directly with brides when possible. For unique pieces, we create the dress together. It is more than a work of making, there is an exchange of the order of the intimate, we create a memory, a joyful moment in the organization of the wedding. This moment of sharing is something great and essential for me.

"This collection is in line with the two previous ones. There is a search for simplicity, back to basics naturally – fewer frills, fewer accessories to allow the enhancement of fabrics, their drape, the enhancement of materials and especially of the bride.
The trend towards de-consumption and the valorization of what we already have is part of this collection. I seek to create in a more flexible way. I am not attached to a specific fabric, I often change it depending on the treasures I find, this limits stocks and creates limited series. The reuse of scraps is also in order, they allow to make the braids, the flowers, and the ornaments of the shoulder pads present on the pieces.

"First of all, the desire to train a team of professionals all based in Corsica in order to show the island talents. Then, we wanted to give a fashion aspect to this shooting that we wanted to be natural, raw. Finally, this shooting opens the way to the appearance of ready-to-wear pieces in future collections.
