Amélie and Maximien live in Lyon and will get married this summer at the Château Des Ravatys in St Lager. In the privacy of their apartment in Croix Rousse, they welcome us into their home. A friendly, natural and tender tête-à-tête.
With the beautiful images of MarianneDel, Amélie tells us…
The first time I met Max was during a drunken student party, between roommates and friends, surely one of our best memories of "partying". A few months later, a second evening much more relaxed around an aperitif, he makes me laugh and smile ... for me the first spark is there. The next day my nice roommate and "future officiant of ceremony" secretly organizes a small tea party for us one on one, a little atypical but very funny. This will be the beginning of our story, today he is my lover, my best friend and my confidant of every day and this for 9 years.

The marriage proposal
We had organized a little trip to London, to my best friend's, with whom we had lived there for a year. It was the first time we had both gone back since we left, there is something special between us and this city. Inevitably a thousand memories came back to the surface, the ideal opportunity for a proposal, except that at no time did I suspect what could be going on. He had prepared his move well, the little secretive one, an accomplice with our friends and family in France. So it was after a long and beautiful day of walking, on the banks of the Thames, that he found the perfect moment to get down on one knee, an intimate moment, a little messy but full of emotion.

The inspirations of this session
After Marianne told us offered to do this session at our place, I was very excited and impatient. Indeed I really like her vision of photography, her sensitivity and her ability to capture real moments of complicity. A universe that suited us perfectly. So we exchanged a few inspirational photos on Instagram, in the moody spirit: a relaxed Sunday afternoon at the apartment with our little Jinger. On the big day, Marianne immediately put us at ease by asking us a few questions over tea. So the session happened naturally, we were really on the same wavelength. This afternoon will remain a very beautiful moment of sharing between her and us with a few laughs as a bonus.
Wedding inspirations
Suffice to say that I have been studying for several years now Pinterest, so I already had a certain idea of what this day would be like. A day that resembles us, simple but atypical, vintage but current, elegant but rock'n roll in a folk and romantic atmosphere. For the wedding decoration we went for a shade of gray with a few touches of gold, a little copper, greenery and lots of macramé on a "watercolor" background. In short, a pretty "handmade" decor for a day that we hope will be unforgettable, surrounded by the people who are dear to us.

What we learned
We tell ourselves that it's still complicated to organize a wedding, a billion details to think about, especially when we are a little too perfectionist. But we also tell ourselves that it's worth it because we love each other and it will be the most beautiful day of our life.
Our advice
Make this day the one that will be most like you. Don't forget to share moments of complicity. Try your best not to stress too much but a little anyway because there is work to do...
