The dawn of a new chapter — Vanessa & Mathieu's day after in the Camargue
There are some weddings you wish could last forever. After their sun-drenched celebration in Provence, Vanessa and Mathieu chose to extend the magic a little longer. A few days after the festivitiesThe newlyweds find themselves together for a suspended moment: an intimate and poetic day after, far from the excitement of the weekend.
At dawn, they resume the rituals of the big day — the dress, the suit, the hair put back in order — before setting off for the wild landscapes of the Camargue. There, in the heart of these almost lunar expanses, bathed in the soft light of sunrise, time seems to slow down.
Conceived and captured by the photographer Xavier NavarroThis session becomes much more than a simple extension of the wedding. It's a romantic tête-à-tête, a moment of calm after the intensity of the celebrations, a final interlude before closing this chapter and opening a new one.
In this surreal setting, amidst sand, silence, and golden light, Vanessa and Mathieu savor every second. For they know that this morning marks the end of an unforgettable weekend — and the beginning of a new life together.
Why this day after session?
After discovering Xavier's work on his website, we were completely captivated by some of the photos he took during the "Day After" session. This type of session allows the photographer to find the most beautiful location nearby and photograph us at the perfect time of day when the light is at its best, ensuring everything comes together for perfect photos! We therefore decided to schedule this session for Monday morning to cap off this wonderful weekend.
Getting up before the sun, putting your dress and suit back on, tidying up your hair, taking your little dog under your arm and arriving in the Camargue, in the middle of a completely unreal lunar setting, for a morning that is still very emotional...
We savored every second of that moment all the more because we knew it was the last, that this magical interlude was coming to an end. And that a beautiful new life was now beginning for us…

And after your wedding?
And then… We followed up with two magnificent trips, to the Seychelles and California. We enjoyed our new status as newlyweds. We had fits of laughter. We reveled in the "my husband" here and "my wife" there. We each created our own companies in our chosen fields: baby gifts and watchmaking. And we had even more fits of laughter… And then, we had a second bedroom built so we'd be all set to welcome the new family we dream of today…
It would seem, then, that happiness lies beyond!
