The Day After in Spain – Patricia + Rafa
CONTENTS
After the stress of the wedding, Patricia and Rafa wanted to take the time for a romantic tête-à-tête in the Madrid countryside. A sweet, bohemian and natural moment. Also the opportunity to slip back into the beautiful outfits of the big day.
With the beautiful images of Anne Letournel, Patricia tells us more…
"We met by chance at a party when we had mutual friends for several years.
That evening, I was coming back from the cinema with a friend and she wanted to meet her drummer friend after his concert. Rafa was the guitarist in the group, we talked together until dawn and since then we have never left each other.
The marriage proposal
"We were visiting Almeria, the city where I am from, for the very first time. While walking through the beautiful gardens of the Alcazaba (an impressive 10th century Arab building), we were surprised by a huge downpour of rain, which forced us to take refuge under a porch of the fortress. There, soaking wet and laughing, he asked me if I wanted us to spend the rest of our lives together. The answer I think you have already guessed!!!"

Inspiration of the session
“Bohemian, nature, passion
For this session for two, we wanted to spend some time just for us.
After the stress of the wedding, we just wanted to treat ourselves, for a moment, alone in the world. So we went to a plain that I love, located about an hour from Madrid.
Rafa wasn't very comfortable at first, me a little more because I'm used to posing, but Anne Letournel knew how to put us at ease little by little. And in the end, the photos look like us and the result exceeds our expectations.

Wedding inspiration
“For our wedding, we wanted an atmosphere that reflected us. Our inspiration could therefore be found in a bohemian style, something fresh, informal and in harmony with my partner.
The dress or dresses I should say (in Spain there is sometimes a day dress and an evening dress), were important to me because before the proposal, I had never thought about the style of dresses I would wear at my wedding, but it was clear that I did not want to feel disguised or too pompous.
I wanted to stay in a natural bohemian style with light and flowing outfits. I became aware of the work of Nikita nipone and I fell in love with it. From the beginning, I felt very comfortable with her and with the drawings she showed me.
The result is more than what I expected. I was comfortable all day and felt beautiful."

The year of preparations
"Everything goes by too quickly, we tell ourselves that we have time and in the end everything goes by so quickly. I feel like I didn't see the time go by. On the other hand, it was a lot of investment but it was worth it, we were so proud of ourselves in the end, we managed to carry out this project together and for us."
