In a wind of eloquence and modernity, Elise Martimort unveils its 2024 wedding dress collection. True to its values, the Bordeaux designer imagines season after season a glamorous, evolving fashion that respects the world around it. Elise Martimort, the'history

“10 years ago, Elise Martimort design and create a dress for the wedding of'a friend from Bordeaux who couldn't find what she wanted in the stores of the time. With'a solid experience in Haute Couture, the stylist s'have fun in this exercise until'then unknown to her.

Search for noble and French materials, precise and daring cutting work, this first piece in the'The world of wedding dresses was such a success that requests poured in; a few months later, the designer opened her first intimate showroom in the Gironde capital, where she only offered unique, made-to-measure pieces.

L'Our primary ambition was to offer very high quality work, French and natural sourcing, modern and feminine pieces, respectful of the'environment and guarantors'a know-how of transmission.

The small workshop quickly had to recruit to meet an increasingly important demand but Elise decided to take the time to grow so as not to lose quality of work. She'surrounds d'a team of cutting-edge technicians: modelers, cutters, large blur assemblers, embroiderers'art… and promotes French weavers labeled EPV and Master Craftsmen'Art, guarantors of quality and ancestral know-how.

After 5 years, the parisian showroom opens its doors at 255 rue St Honoré and also welcomes'other creators such as LIZERON, BACK TO GLAM or, CALABRUNE in order to offer a 360° experience to future brides.

Since 3 years, the Bordeaux showroom s'is transformed into a four-level house with a huge space d'fittings, Clothing workshop and many services related to the local wedding sphere.

D'a part of the committed values ​​of the House which campaigns for a reasonable, ethical and French fashion by promoting local sourcing and natural materials. Everything has been put in place to fight against waste : Ultra limited fabric stock, production exclusively on demand and fully carried out on site, internalization of know-how, no subcontracting, upcycling of textile scraps… This year, theThe House was awarded the'craftsmanship'Committed art in Aquitaine !

D'elsewhere a Ultra-fashionable style. Elise s'inspires women of her time, of whom she herself is a committed and militant representative. The brides ELISE MARTIMORT are women before being brides. Never disguised, always sublimated. Her dresses are at once feminine, sensual and resolutely modern.

"For two years now, Elise Martimort has introduced the celebration of strong and powerful woman (2022 EMPOWERMENT Collection, 2023 ICONIC Collection). This year again, the designer encourages her future brides to cross new barriers and free themselves from overly expected codes. Since she embodies a historical woman with spiritual charms, The 2024 bride takes the liberty of fulfilling herself in a piece of character whose details amaze with admiration. She reveals her legs through asymmetry, a slit cut into the material or through audacious transparency. Her chest exposed by a bustier underlines the elegance of her haughty carriage while tulle or pearl shoulder pads structure her silhouette with triumph.

This collection also devotes particular interest to the fullness of the dresses. Silk satin or Carrara marble, sculptural mermaid dresses blur the lines this season, while other pieces, on the contrary, are formed in the large volume of pleats and the rigid hold of duchess satin. 

This year, the bride understands the advantage of a evolving outfit which will be able to accompany her throughout her wedding. No need to give up the majestic train when she just has to remove her overskirt and enjoy the night hours in a playsuit. 

Beyond the shapes, it is in the choice of fabrics and the work of textures that the richness of this collection is affirmed. Through the use of pearls, rhinestones, satins, embroidery, mother-of-pearl, Élise captures the light and deploys a range of brilliance that she declines through the shape. Here we are carried away by a lace with an undulating weave, a muslin lifted by the wind or even a bust decorated with a Nereid embroidery. 

Elise Martimort collection 2024, the storytelling

"For several seasons, Élise had been toying with the idea of ​​a collection shoot at the top of the cliffs of Bonifacio.

After having designed a line inspired by mysticism, it was this time impossible for him to give up Corsican lands. Immortalizing these dresses in this region inhabited by superstitions and where magical transmission is matriarchal took on its full meaning. It was then a question of establishing a fluid dialogue between the pieces and the decor, both mineral and aquatic. An embroidery with a coral motif then responds to turquoise water; the breadth of a skirt questions the arch of a vault; the cutting of a lace made of foam calls out to the seafront; a white that knows how to be matt as diaphanous addresses the layers of a limestone rock; and the verticality of modern shoulders apostrophizes the architectural lines of a nine-century-old citadel. 

Writing this story has encouraged the designer to continue certain collaborations and build new ones. Alongside her dresses, take place the costumes of Faubourg Saint Sulpice, sign met in April during the event The One, where the two brands had already combined their images for the development of an inclusive shooting and the creation of a skirt suit for men. Elise is also forming a new alliance with the Spanish shoemakers Flordeasoka present on this shooting but also in the Parisian showroom.
