JAPANDY
CONTENTS
What if the key was simplicity? The Landes team of Collective ribbon celebrates its 10th anniversary with the furious desire to return to the essential. It is around a minimal and monochrome theme that they have designed the meeting of Japan and Scandinavia: JAPANDI.
With the beautiful images ofAn Lalemant and DOLLY Wedding films, the team gives us its inspirations…
How did the initiative for this shooting come about?
" At the house of Collective Ribbon, a desire for fresh air has invaded us. The search for a pure aesthetic seemed obvious given the current context...we thought of our bride and groom, of their desire to get married without fuss, with the essentials around them.
Simplicity and elegance are in simple things. We wanted to explore a theme based on a sure value: the simplicity. A bold monochrome, for large or small weddings, for lovers of Zen and clean lines… JAPANDY or when Japan meets Scandinavia.
A new era is dawning in marriage, and we intend to jump on the bandwagon, don't you?

The Memorial
“In an architect’s house in the heart of the Landes. This place is the epitome of sober simplicity.
For the record, we shot at Camila's, co-founder of Ruban Collectif who now has another job. For the collective's 10th anniversary, we were delighted to be able to include her in this inspired photoshoot made in Ruban Collectif!

The scenography
Staging
“We worked on the scenography around the White, minimal and Contemporaneous.
We sourced, searched, and manufactured elements until we had the right piece, the one that would make the difference, whether it was for the dishes, the table plan, the pretty details... Indeed, nothing was chosen at random.
For Table, we placed an order at the concrete object creator handmade, Zuri, so that she could make unique pieces for us, which we combined with ceramic tableware, Bertoia-inspired chairs and thick linen napkins.
For ceremony, we made a custom wire mesh support, on which we were able to play with plant elements and we started from the same support for the table plan, but staged differently. We also had more raw elements, like plaster blocks, pieces of concrete... found in the materials yard of our DIY store to stage our pretty details!

The hairstyle
Following the restrictions we all know about, the marriage codes have changed... Eglantine asked herself the following question: How to keep it simple but without compromising style?
Based on her own desires and inspirations, she has therefore imagined strong pieces, “ make a statement » accessories, which can be worn even after marriage… ostentatious without complexes.
Who says XXL accessories says simple hairstyle, so she opted for a worked, structured and modern hair, to avoid the "too much".

Stationery
Like a desire for simplicity and modern and clean layout in this very complex period. A back to basics using natural and artisanal materials with handmade paper and envelope made by traditional craftsmen. An ode to elegance and a resolutely contemporary style.
