Jazz Wedding: When love plays its most beautiful score
There are images that cannot be explained—they are felt. Those that the photographer Angelo Lacancellera composed at the Jullian House are among them.
In this timeless estate nestled near Béziers, Angelo orchestrated an editorial...wedding inspiration with decidedly cinematic overtones. A vision nurtured for years: to stage a saxophonist, to let the music permeate every frame, every light, every glance. The result plays on two registers with the precision of a jazzman — Warm, natural tones for the tenderness of love, an intense red sequence for the burning of desire.
Somewhere between a wedding film and a fashion editorial, this world is signed Angelo Lacancellera reminds us that the most beautiful ceremony is first and foremost a work of art — when you surround yourself with good craftsmen, and dare to write your own story.
How did the initiative for this shooting come about?
For years I'd wanted to take photos featuring a saxophonist. Initially, I wanted to photograph him on a performance stage during a couple's shoot, but unable to find the ideal location, I finally decided to incorporate these images into this wedding-inspired shoot.

Jullian House It's a magnificent estate that I discovered in June 2024 during a wedding. I thought it was a shame that the couple didn't have a secular ceremony in the garden, which was perfectly suited for it. So I contacted the owners the following year to propose this project.
The shooting team
The service providers I selected for the project are people I have worked with regularly on weddings; it was obvious that I would call upon them for the quality of their work, but above all for the good understanding and the same artistic approach.
Wedding inspiration scenography
The art direction I wanted to create is based on a Emotional storytelling, a visual contrast creating a duality of Love / Desire (warm natural tones / intense red sequence).
I wanted to strike a balance between photos that could be taken from a wedding film and a deliberate look at fashion editorials.
Creating a jazz and publishing universe was, in a way, the goal of this project.
