Atheists or of different religious confessions, you still want to organize a ceremony in your image which will make sense and celebrate your union with emotion? The secular ceremony will definitely seduce you.
Far from the clichés associated with romantic films, the secular ceremony has gradually become more democratic in France. Because there are a thousand and one ways to say yes and just as many unique couples, the secular ceremony corresponds in all respects to the new expectations of future spouses who wish to organize a non-religious ceremony that makes sense.
The idea of proposing to you a new section on the subject has therefore naturally imposed itself. And for the first time in the history of Madame C's blog, it is a columnist who will intervene as an expert on the subject. I felt an obviousness in discovering the punch and the work of Solène Sayn, ceremony officiant in Provence and founder Of Love and Ink.
A thunderous applause for this columnist of Love at Madame C who will give you, week after week, his valuable advice for a Secular ceremony in your image and without a hitch.
Big thanks to you Solene and long life to your new column!
What is a secular ceremony?
Human, customizable, and completely unique, 3 words to describe the secular ceremony.
You don't know this way of uniting yet? I invite you to discover it and let it seduce you.
What is the difference between the secular ceremony and other types of ceremonies?
A little reminder is necessary on the 3 main types of ceremony:
The Civil Ceremony is thereonly mandatory in France, it is a legal act having legal force, organizing the common life of spouses and recognized by the State.
The Religious Ceremony symbolizes the union of your couple before God. It's a spiritual sacrament and a commitment on your part to live according to the values of your religion and under the protection of God.
The Secular Ceremony is a symbolic ceremony, freed from formalism and obligations. Centered on you, it highlights your couple and your story.

What does a secular ceremony consist of?
Also called commitment or symbolic ceremony, the secular ceremony is above all a celebration.
Celebrating your personalities, your couple, your Love, it puts you in the spotlight during an exclusive moment of sharing with your loved ones.
The idea is simple: create a personal ceremony, full of emotion, that suits you, punctuated by different highlights: music, reading of texts, interventions from your loved ones, ritual…
True creative freedom, it is an opportunity to highlight your values, your ideas and your tastes.
The secular ceremony, where to organize it?
Wherever you want! The biggest advantage of the secular ceremony is Freedom!
Organize it in a place filled with good vibes, which inspires you, whether at the location of your reception or in the middle of nature.
However, make sure in advance of the feasibility of your project, of the potential authorizations required, of the access conditions depending on the season of your union, and make sure you have an alternative in case of bad weather.
