Wedding at the Commanderie de Peyrassol – Géraldine + Benjamin
CONTENTS
Géraldine and Benjamin met in Medicine in Marseille. 10 years after their meeting, he proposed to her during a romantic weekend in the Luberon. Surrounded by their gang of hearts, Géraldine and Benjamin designed a wedding that smells of the south. Simple and authentic.
With the beautiful images of Charles Seguy, Géraldine tells us more…
The initial meeting
"On the benches of the faculty of medicine in Marseille from the first year, now 12 years ago.
In the first year, the pressure of the competition was such that we didn't speak to anyone else in the lecture hall, but we had spotted each other from afar and even had respective nicknames for each other!
Once I passed the competition and moved on to the second year, we became friends and quickly more than friends!

The marriage proposal
“In October 2016, one of the most beautiful weekends of our lives. My sister had just gotten married a month before and for the record I had caught her bouquet ;)
Benjamin had planned this wonderful Surprise weekend at the Couvent des Minimes, Relais et Châteaux near Mane in the Luberon, topped off with a gourmet dinner, our guilty pleasure and me, naive, I didn't see a thing. All this after having solemnly asked my dad for my hand, which he knew was essential for me!”

Wedding at the Commanderie de Peyrassol
"The Commandery of Peyrassol in Flassans sur Issoles in the Var (83). A former order of the Templars transformed into a vineyard.
The owner is an art collector and the modern works blend wonderfully with the vines. For the next day's brunch, there is a hunting lodge lost in the immense estate whose walls are lined with trophies, much more rustic and relaxed which allowed us to once again receive our guests in a warm atmosphere by the pool and the tennis court.
We both fell in love with this place instantly. «
Wedding planning
“More than a year of good times and more complicated times to try to please everyone!
But once the big decisions were made, all our families went out of their way to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams."

Wedding decoration
“With the precious help of my mother and the artistic eye of my sister!
We were already very lucky because the location of the cocktail party as well as the covered reception terrace had a lot of character in themselves.
The touches of personalization then focused on the floral decoration and a nod to photography that I love very much. Indeed, the numbering of the tables was a photo of Benjamin and me representing each year spent together and each guest had to pin a Polaroid photo of themselves on a huge cork board – made by our parents – replacing their place marker!
As for floral decoration, we would base ourselves on only white flowers associated with tropical foliage of a deep green. Our long-time florist friend Michèle Martinez brought back a whole suitcase of foliage and flowers from Brazil where she currently lives!
She also dressed a steel structure representing our initials, over a meter high, made by my dad, with eucalyptus foliage. It took a lot of work but the result with small LEDs was great!

The wedding budget
"We were fortunate to receive more than a huge amount of help from our parents and will always be grateful for this wonderful gift they gave us."
Your best memory
« The cocktail, once relaxed seeing all our guests having fun!”
The board bride and groom
“To give your all to make this day your own and to be able to let go and enjoy every moment on the big day!”
