Bohemian wedding in Marrakech
After 6 years of living together and the arrival of two children, the obvious choice to get married became clear. Aline dreamed ofa wedding in Marrakech, an ideal destination to design several days of celebration with their loved ones. An absolutely magical experience in the intimacy of around forty guests. 3 days with the scent of the Orient and bohemian notes. Crazy memories.
With the beautiful images of Claudia Lichtrunken et Christoph Paw, the newlyweds tell us…
The initial meeting
"We met in 2017 during a real estate network seminar, the magic happened and then everything went crazy. 2 children later and 1 marriage that exceeded all our expectations."
The marriage proposal
"On the day of our second daughter's baptism, we gathered all our loved ones for a wonderful day. I took the opportunity to ask Aline to marry me. I wanted to share this moment with everyone."

The reception venue in Marrakech
“Aline had always wanted to get married in Marrakech… we each started looking for a place on our own and we both fell in love with it. Villa Taj Marrakech, the search therefore lasted barely 1 hour. An email to Marianne, a response within the hour and it was the beginning of our exceptional adventure in a magnificent place beyond all expectations.

Wedding planning in Marrakech
"We completely trusted the Villa Taj team, which is organized like a wedding planner agency. With their retroplanning, it was simple, efficient and above all stress-free.
From the beginning, the retroplanning took us through the steps without it being a headache, we chose our decoration for each highlight of the wedding from their very comprehensive photo galleries.
We looked at the Villa Taj Instagram from all directions and we fell in love with it the photographer Claudia Lichttrunken who had already held some very beautiful weddings in Marrakech in this villa.

Wedding decoration
The welcome dinner
« In the 1001 lights tent which is a modern Moroccan tent with a whole wall made of mirrors in which the lights are reflected. It was magical with all these incredible candles, lanterns, Moroccan lamps. A very oriental and modern decoration at the same time. The scenography was just crazy with the low tables arranged around the pool.
The wedding ceremony
« A bohemian chic ceremony with pampas in the aisle, a round and flowery swing to decorate the arch of the bride and groom, all matching the dresses and suits of our children and witnesses. Wooden and straw chairs to stay in the bohemian chic theme, vaporous veils all along the ceremony space and especially the light of Marrakech which at 18PM is just magical.

The wedding dinner
We wanted it in front of the swimming pool 25 meters lit only on the edges by straw lanterns which gives all its splendor to this magical reception area. The pool is not lit voluntarily so that the giant olive bonsai tree at the end of the pool can be reflected. The "elegant and bright" dinner theme consists of a long table runner made of olive branches and 200 white rose soliflores all cut to 10 cm, candles of different sizes all along and tall candlesticks to enhance this banquet. Transparent placemats with a gold border, a decorative menu and transparent Napoleon chairs.
Brunch the day after the wedding
Bohemian Chic Theme
Under a majestic avenue of century-old olive trees, a long table decorated with a thousand mini pampas and very tall bouquets of "giant pampas" with wooden log placemats, all interspersed with vaporous veils. The spot is just incredible to experience. A cool buffet in the pool house and a dream day with bursts of laughter and magical conviviality. It's really a great moment that we don't regret, we took the time to be with everyone and share happy moments. It's true that the temperature of Marrakech and its great climate contribute to the success of this memorable weekend.
The desert
The Taj villa is located opposite the Marrakech desert, the quads are delivered in front of the villa and off we go for 1H30 in the heart of breathtaking lunar landscapes to take us to the secret spot of the villa, a camp in the desert in the middle of nowhere. We had brought our wedding outfits for a shooting in the early evening, right at nightfall. This last evening was up to the weekend with an incredible Moroccan and African atmosphere. This desert evening is the final point of this wedding immersed in the heart of Marrakech.

The wedding budget in Marrakech
“The rental of the place for 3 nights with all 21 rooms included, 3 evenings + wedding ceremony : about €47 for 000 people"
Their most moving memory
“Having shared this unforgettable moment in this magical place with all our loved ones who were captivated by all these dinners and lunches that follow one another with a decoration and a place that changes each time.

Their best choice in wedding planning
"We almost didn't have dinner in the desert, but it was such a magical moment completely cut off from everything that we don't regret it."
Advice from the newlyweds
“Let yourself be guided, listen to the advice, follow the retroplanning then do nothing more and enjoy as much as possible, it's always too short!
Don't skimp on the photographer and cameraman, they are the only memories you will have afterwards, we spend our time looking at them to relive these days full of emotions and thanks to them we can relive them indefinitely.
