Bohemian wedding in Paris – Elisa + Bruno
CONTENTS
A year ago, Elisa and Bruno shared their Seine of love. A wedding that they reinvented with the health crisis. Initially planned for July 2020, they postponed their civil wedding to September 2020 and then decided to organize their beautiful party in July 2021.
Accompanied brilliantly by Charlotte Poetry, their wedding planner, they designed two incredible chapters of a memorable wedding. A wedding on a Parisian barge immortalized by a vibrant secular ceremony with bohemian notes.
With the beautiful images of Celine Zed et Mr. F, they testify…
"Due to health restrictions, our wedding – as planned, on July 4, 2020 – could not be maintained, but we did not have the heart to postpone it entirely. After many discussions between us and also with the collaboration of our service providers that we absolutely wanted to keep, we decided to "cut in two" our day:
- push back our civil ceremony at end of September, to officially get married in 2020 (even with a very limited committee)
- reporter the secular ceremony and the real party in July 2021, thinking then that the Covid problem would be far behind us... »
The reception venue
“She’s our wedding planner, Charlotte Poetry, who offered us this venue very quickly after we made the decision to postpone the party. She did a remarkable job because – for the record – we were in full lockdown at the time, in April. Everything was closed and it was almost impossible to reach the managers. Charlotte was incredibly persistent and tenacious since she managed to negotiate options (whether for the organization of the civil wedding in September 2020 or for the Polpo in July 2021) when no one wanted to commit to dates due to the vagaries of government authorizations.
the Polpo perfectly matched our criteria (geography, atmosphere, the many possibilities of arrangement for the secular ceremony, the live band etc…) and we decided very quickly, as soon as we were able to visit it after the reopening at the end of June.

Wedding planning
The 3 July 2021, one year to the day after the date initially planned since we were supposed to get married on July 4, 2020. Choosing the date was a real headache because we had to reconcile everything: the availability of the venue, that of the different service providers that we didn't want to do without (photographer, videographer, ceremony officiant, etc.). It wasn't easy but everyone did their utmost to continue the adventure with us. This created a great dynamic between the two dates. The first act in September having gone so well, despite the many constraints, we were all really looking forward to this highly anticipated second act.
Due to the postponement, the secular ceremony initially planned for the end of the afternoon took place in a small group. Followed by a cocktail dinner to the sound of the live band and a dance party with all our guests.
So we had time to prepare. Charlotte offered to organize a time just for us, before the ceremony. A mini-cruise on the Seine in an Italian vedette vintage with champagne and appetizers. The ideal moment to take our couple photos, but above all a breath of fresh air before the secular ceremony. This slightly unreal moment, without any constraints, was a real joy.
We arrived at Polpo on a cloud. All our loved ones were already in the mood, thanks to the magic of Stella, our ceremony officiant. It was a truly graceful moment. The ceremony was a very strong moment, punctuated by the sequences that we had imagined together. All skillfully orchestrated by Stella.
The little original touch was the creation of a room fragrance that tells our story, which we have made our guests discover step by step.sensory experience surprised everyone and ended with the revelation of the final mix as a climax. It was magical, amazing, unforgettable…!”

Wedding decoration
"We stayed on the same original moodboard that had guided our choices during the civil ceremony of September 26, 2020. Bohemian, in natural tones inspired by the South."
The wedding budget
“Not including our outfits for this big day, the budget was 480€/pers. »

Their best choice in wedding planning
"As far as we are concerned, we had 4 best choices:
- Charlotte Poetry, our wedding planner, our major asset in preparing our wedding.
- Stella, our ceremony officiant, our wonderful meeting from the start (and to whom we owe the recommendations for Charlotte, our photographer and our videographer whom she already knew)
- Celine Zed, our photographer, his sublime photos
- Mr. F, our videographer, the cherry on the cake!
…our dream team!”

Advice from the newlyweds
- Don't skimp on a wedding planner : the right person will be able to guide you in your choices and help you to control your budget and anticipate/manage all the problems that are bound to arise, it really is a full-time job!
- Choose your service providers wisely by trusting yourself. You have to be able to be comfortable with them, in a quality of listening and exchange. They bring you their professional skills but the project must be yours and resemble you.
- Make the choice of hire a professional photographer AND videographer and not rely on friends or family for souvenir photos… This allows everyone to fully enjoy the event and have a nice photo gallery to share with everyone afterwards. The wedding film is a bonus gift that we also give ourselves and a wonderful living memory, incredibly moving (guaranteed effect even after having watched it a bunch of times!) »
