Couture Wedding in Cannes – Faustine + Nathan
CONTENTS
It was last September 12th at Cannes . Faustine and Nathan believed in it so strongly, despite such a fragile context, and they were right. Their couture wedding on the “French Riviera” did indeed take place. A day bathed in sunshine with elegant notes that they shaped down to the smallest details in their image.
With the beautiful images of Maelys Izzo seconded by Morgane Massiani, Faustine and Nathan tell us…
The initial meeting
"We met skiing in Alpe d'Huez in 2017, Faustine was working at the Folie Douce and Nathan was on vacation. We met at a party in a bar in the resort. Nathan having “spotted” me came to talk to me and we hit it off right away.
Exchanged numbers, and not living in the same regions, we met again 8 months later when Faustine came to live in Paris for her work and the story really began.

The marriage proposal
"During a travel in june 2019, we had left to visit Shanghai, Beijing and to visit Maxime, Faustine's brother who lives in South Korea, in Seoul.
It is during the Great Wall of China Tour that Nathan proposed to me. We walked along the wall away from the crowd and had advanced as far as we could on the wall, there was no one else but us, it was improbable, everything was calm, nature as far as the eye could see and Nathan who was trying to talk to me.
I was so captivated by the splendor of the site that I was only half-listening to him until he bent his knee and presented me with a white box containing a magnificent engagement ring. Then followed the famous marriage proposal where I obviously said YES! The surprise was total, I didn't suspect it at any time! He had also asked my mother for my hand in marriage by phone (my father being no longer of this world), I was particularly very touched.

Wedding planning
"The COVID situation allowed us to organize our wedding down to the smallest details, we believed in it until the end despite all the announcements, it was unthinkable for us to postpone this date. The wedding rings were also engraved and we held on! (We were very lucky)

Wedding decoration
" On Etsy, I found many artists for the wedding decoration: wooden urn engraved with our initials, wedding ring holder in lace, first name doors and number doors in gilded brass… There are some very pretty, original and customizable things.
Good decorating ideas: flower hoops in the pool, a little touch that makes all the difference. Points of light: guinguette garland, spotlights that illuminate the facade of the castle or the century-old tree. The lighting ambiance is very important.
The wedding budget
"105 people attended the wedding. The biggest expenses were the venue, the caterer and the musicians."

Their most moving memory
Nathan: there are so many… the moment I see Faustine enter the church 🤩 That's my wife! Then the opening of the ball so repeated and feared
Faustine: EVERYTHING! But if I had to choose, I would say the moment I entered church on the arm of my 91-year-old grandfather, proud as ever. To see all your guests in front of you, what a joy, the people you love most in the world who came especially for you, and your future husband beaming... it's The moment! The magic of the place adds to all this and the emotion is grandiose!
I also really enjoyed our entrance to the castle with the smoke bombs, we could already feel the madness of the evening that was about to begin.
