It was in  last october as part of a new training course for photographers, florists and wedding planners, organized by LMD Conseils, Nasturtium Atelier Floral et Christopher Serrano.

In a breath of creativity, more than 25 professionals were gathered to reinvent themselves and shake things up. It is in Provence within the walls of the marvelous Tourreau Castle, that they gave life to this creative energy sprinkled with wise business advice. A time of sharing that diffuses in our lives as entrepreneurs keys to work and a super-powerful professional network. It was a real pleasure to take part in this workshop, thank you all for this great welcome!

With the beautiful pictures Christophe Serrano, the team gives us its inspirations…

How did the initiative for this shooting come about?

The idea came from mixing a floral workshop with a workshop for photographer. The energy of the group and the fabulous luck of the encounters that one can make is a real boost for oneself as well as for the business. Beyond network creation and joy of encounters made through the workshop, the idea was resolutely intended modern and had to have an approach elegant and fashionable.

The classic romantic floral wedding portfolio still has its fans, but we wanted to put that aside to focus on a purely editorial and artistic approach.

Couture wedding at Château Tourreau

Tourreau Castle corresponds to one of the most famous places in Provence when it comes to organizing a high-end wedding. The ambitious idea of doing something different in a place so well known and associated with Provence was a challenge.

The shooting team

The Workshop was imagined by Flavia Dautel.  It was co-hosted by Cecile de Capucine Floral Workshop and the photographer Christophe Serrano

Anne-Clothide d'Hedhera Wedding came to support the organization, the search for service providers and a whole bunch of other very important things.

The Workshop took place in 3 parts over 3 and a half days:

  • A game hosted by Flavia D'autel de LMD Conseils on business, cash management, tax optimization and company status. This day was resolutely business-oriented with the intervention of Clementine du Madame C's Blog on the keys to notoriety and branding.
  • It was held the following days on one side a floral workshop addressing floral arrangement techniques, creativity led by Cecile de Capucine Floral Workshop
  • and on the other side a workshop for photographers with an approach to editorial posing and lighting very advanced animated by Christophe Serrano.

The creation of the decorations and the various shared moments between florists, wedding planners and photographers allowed the creation of an ambitious editorial.

On the second day, Cecile de Capucine Floral Workshop took the photographers aside to explain how to photograph flowers, analyzed a bouquet and the artistic process in order to highlight it

Christophe took the Florists to give them some keys to photograph their work themselves with their own smartphones. Without trying to replace a photographer, everyone needs to produce more qualitative images for their communication

Two wedding planners were present as interns and navigated between the different workshops.

The scenography

The idea of the scenography was intended modern, artistic and therefore clean.

The idea of monochrome, of a feeling of suspension, of graphic and deconstructed floral structures, of raw and natural textures inspired the creative process.

The idea of Cecile Detienne to decorate the mythical facade of the Tourreau Castle by a suspended, falling structure was something decidedly new, unexpected at the castle. The work she carried out with her florist trainees in order to realize the many compositions and bouquets of the workshop with the finesse of the choice of rare flowers and techniques inspired the creative choices of dresses, models and even attitudes.

On the models' side, the movement, the blurs, the suspended poses of the models, the choice of models with a resolutely artistic fashion style had to accompany this feeling of suspension, as if we were holding our breath.

Among the different possibilities offered by the Château de Tourreau, we chose to work with light and in particularly raw, refined areas. The majority of the Edito portfolio wedding shoots carried out in Tourreau feature the façade of the château, the gardens, the swimming pool with a style that would reproduce a false romantic wedding.

Conversely, choosing to work on raw walls at the back of the castle, in the stairwell with a light favoring this dramatic side or in the master suite by having previously purified the room allowed to increase this feeling of contrast and highlight the styling. The resolutely fashionable attitudes and modern styling choices bring a purely editorial rendering

The choice to work on modern styling has led us to a resolutely creative teamThe choice of service providers is a key step for the success of this editorial and we will never stop thanking them.

In no particular order and without forgetting anyone, I hope:

  • The boudoir with a superb bathrobe from Girl&SeriousDream with effects of transparency and lightness,
  • The superb work of the designer's dresses Thibaut Lauvergne : Modern dresses, emphasizing the finesse and the feeling of lightness of the Mathilda model
  • The fabulous wedding cakes made by My Annie cakes came specially from England with a modern style, with incredible textures contrasting with the monochrome style of the cake
  • Stationery with fabulous texture work on the papers made by Papier June
  • Sculptural jewelry, handmade by The Black Alchemy with this incredible graphic earrings work
  • The decidedly fashionable hair and makeup work done by Jiyoung Yang of Modern bride paris with artistic and offbeat work, like this Liner work highlighting Mathilda's gaze in the boudoir session or this Nude makeup with a glazed porcelain complexion highlighted by this line of liner.
  • Our models from fashion with resolutely editorial profiles. They were particularly chosen for their ability to give powerful, nonchalant poses, detached from reality.

We would also like to thank all the people who came to join this project. A nod in particular to Jordy from Phos Events who provided us with his superb chandeliers while he was overwhelmed with work or Jolibazaar and Sonia's team who provided us with a large part of the furniture.

All this teamwork is to be highlighted with all our thanks again.
