Wedding in Tarn-et-Garonne – Marine + Adrien
CONTENTS
It's always very moving to publish your stories. But this one has that little something special. Marine was my student a "few" years ago at ISCOM Toulouse. And it was with a very special emotion that I discovered this beautiful report, meeting some familiar faces along the way. Marine is also the editor-in-chief of FrenchPipelette, a very inspiring lifestyle blog.
It was during a carpool that she met Adrien. Three years later, they were engaged and it was from Dublin that they dreamed of this beautiful day in Tarn-et-Garonne.
With the beautiful images of Celine Zed, Marine tells us…
The initial meeting
We met through a carpool in March 2012. It was the first trip of our lives! We officially became a couple the following week, on International Women's Day, March 8th.

The marriage proposal
“It was in Italy, in Milan, exactly one month after our 3rd birthday. We love to walk in parks when we visit a new place. I didn’t get to kneel because my husband proposed while we were lying on the grass looking at a beautiful blue sky. I will remember that scene for the rest of my life.”
Wedding in Tarn-et-Garonne
"We fell in love with this characterful wine estate immediately. On high ground, a breathtaking view, surrounded by vines, a chapel nearby... all the elements were there."

Wedding planning
"We took the step of living together after a year and a half of a long-distance relationship. Then a year later, we decided to move to Ireland to satisfy our thirst for discovery. We got married two years after the proposal. Living in Dublin at the time, we needed time to prepare and I must admit that I also wanted to make the pleasure last! We left our emerald island two and a half years later and returned to France to finalize the organization of our wedding in our hometown. Thanks to great friends and family, organizing a long-distance wedding ultimately turned out to be easier than I had imagined!"

The decoration
“Even though we hired a decorator to rent furniture and some items that I couldn’t make myself, I insisted on doing almost all of our decoration. That’s when I discovered the joys of DIY. My ally was Pinterest but also blogs and accounts Instagram on the wedding, where I spent many hours finding THE good ideas. The theme of travel came naturally, echoing our story.
The wedding budget
"Our wedding took place over 3 days: Friday for the civil ceremony, the wedding party all Saturday and the brunch to finish gently on Sunday. Inevitably, this makes the bill skyrocket. We personally put in €20K and our respective parents about the same amount, making a total of €40K for the entire wedding.
It may seem like a lot, but we don't regret it for a second because we had fun and had top-notch service providers!”

Their best memory
“It’s hard to choose! I would say that our best shared memory remains our discovery out of sight. Another very good moment was the songs of the Gospel group at the church. Their tribute to my grandmother who passed away a few months earlier still gives me chills.”
Advice from the newlyweds
"The council gave the future bride and groom the rest to organize a wedding that suits them and above all enjoy every secondIt is important to put yourself in a bubble for the duration of this day to ignore the little unforeseen events that will rear their ugly heads...
the choice of providers is absolutely essential for the success of this moment. In addition to validating their work, have a good feeling with them!

What a joy to be published on your blog! After having been strongly inspired by it for the organization of the wedding, it is now my turn to leave some advice: the loop is closed! :D
