Wedding in the Cévennes at Villa La Cavalerie – Aurélie + Volker

Aurélie and Volker dreamed of a simple wedding et elegant in the south of France. Of their crush on Villa la Cavalerie in the Cévennes, begins the beautiful adventure. A country wedding where every detail was carefully thought out by Aurélie who was totally invested in the organization and decoration of her wedding.

The initial meeting

"Our meeting was not the most original. We met at work. From colleagues, we became friends and in a few years the friendship turned into love. « 

The marriage proposal

"Volker surprised me duringa trip to Mallorca. He booked dinner on the beach with a beautiful view of the sea, and proposed to me at sunset.

The reception venue

“I had read an article on a wedding blog that talked about The Villa la Cavalerie in Saint-Privat des Vieux.  We immediately found the place magnificent. It suited us perfectly because it combined old stone and olive trees (for me) with comfort and modernity (for Volker).”

Wedding planning

« I managed everything by myself and take great pride in it! I started looking for the location and service providers about a year in advance. Then the rest was done in the last month especially.

I spent long hours looking for inspiration on wedding blogs, instagram et pinterest. 

My sister helped me a lot on the final stretch and with coordination on the day.

Wedding decoration

" All the decoration is homemade ! I wished for a simple, natural and warm atmosphere.

I went with a palette of natural colors that went very well with the old stone of the place and the colors of the south: green, beige and tobacco.

For the decorative elements, I stuck to natural elements: thyme, rosemary, olive branches, lots of candles and lots of fairy lights to create a cozy summer evening atmosphere.

Their most moving memory

« My arrival at the beginning of the ceremony. When after months of preparations and the rush of the last few days, I suddenly realize, seeing everyone and my fiancé at the end of the aisle, that I am the bride.

Their best choice in wedding planning

“We have surrounded ourselves with the best service providers in the world! We spent a lot of time researching and selecting each service provider and when the day came, it made all the difference!

A delicious meal, a dancefloor on fire, everything happened with incredible fluidity. And wonderful memories frozen in glossy photos. Thanks again to them!
