A wedding in the Landes – Cyrielle + Charles
CONTENTS
For 5 years, these two have been inseparable. A simple story, a marriage proposal that resonates like a sweet evidence. Cyrielle and Charles take us today into their little magic. A contagious happiness as it is obvious that their love was their destiny. Each line of their testimony gave me shivers from foot to toe and I admit also made my eyes a little wet :D
And as happiness never comes alone, I am delighted to share for the first time on LBMC the beautiful images of Celine Hamelin. A sparkling and incredibly talented photographer who is one of my favorite encounters.
Without further ado, I'll let you discover Cyrielle and Charles' SUPRA WAHOU big day. Thank you all <3
The initial meeting
"We met in the most ordinary way possible... At a party in Bordeaux, while Cyrielle was celebrating her cousin's hen party! We already knew each other a little. She finally gave up her duty as best man to spend the rest of the evening with me. We never left each other's side and, from that evening on, we organized everything around each other. That was 5 years ago."

The marriage proposal
"Charles had organized a surprise weekend in Paris in August 2012 with a great hotel, concert, etc. But he shamefully messed up by accidentally spilling the beans about the weekend. He finally managed to make up for it by pretending he was on call, but he was waiting for me at home, had prepared a dress, flowers and champagne, and took me out to eat at a restaurant in Eugénie-les-bains, the place where we would later get married.
He was stressed the whole meal and had his hand always near his pocket… I suspected something. After dinner we walked in the hotel gardens, he made me sit in the moonlight on a very pretty fountain facing an old Landes farm and proposed… On his knees…”

Wedding in the Landes
"Eugenie-les-Bains in the Landes, a pretty village, historically it is the village where Bonaparte's Empress, Eugenie, came to spend her long winter weekends, to enjoy the local gastronomy and of course the thermal baths.
The village is very cute and benefits from the presence of Michel Guérard and his Michelin-starred hotel-restaurant. Not finding too many shoes to fit our feet in the castles and other places in the surrounding area, we decided to favor the festive side and the sweetness of summer for this wedding. So we simply chose the village hall, to enjoy the large quiet garden, the absence of constraints etc.

Wedding preparations
"We started to organize ourselves a year before by reserving the room, the caterer, ordering the champagne and being able to gradually let the atmosphere, the decoration, the invitations that we would like for this "Big Day" mature in our minds... But whatever people say, it's the last month that's the most intense! Last fittings, rings, decoration preparations, etc... The stress rises and falls less and less."

The wedding day
“A very special day! Waking up at dawn for both of us… little text message…
Cyrielle was at her parents' house with her witnesses, hairdresser, preparation, photos. The family arriving. Charles was at Eugénie's in a motel with his witnesses. Same photo shoot, preparation, finalization of the room decoration.
Stress at its peak, with a touch of rain, we find ourselves moved at the town hall under the applause of our families and friends. And this long and so fast day really begins!!! In short, a day filled with love.

Advice from the newlyweds
Do: do as many things yourself as possible, be yourself (it's corny but so true!!!), enjoy all the moments of preparation. My dress fittings at Laure de Sagazan with my witnesses and my mother were truly magical moments. As much as possible, you have to take your time on the big day.
Don't: don't fall into excess and mimicry.
The wedding budget
“20 euros all inclusive (dress, suit, wedding rings, etc.)”

Their best memory
"Without comparison, for both of us, arrival at the town hall ! Charles arrived before me, he couldn't talk to anyone... his eyes swollen with tears... The pressure was starting to ease! I arrived with my daughter, in a Traction driven by my father. Charles was waiting for me next to my brother Guillaume (the mayor of our home village) not far from our families and all our friends. And yes, it was my brother who married us... I was so proud to see my handsome groom and show him my dress!
The other great memory was entering the room after the cocktail, for the meal! We had a great time and everyone joined us to dance, it was great.

Simple, festive, the photos perfectly reflect the good mood, it's superb :)
Quick question about the entrance music, which one? We're looking but it's not easy to find THE music that will make the whole room dance!
Thank you :))

I really like the bride's outfit. I find it very original and rather comfortable, unlike the usual frills.

Excellent report, I love the retro side with the car used.
Well done to the photographer in any case for these beautiful shots, and long life to the bride and groom.
