Wedding in Yvelines at the Château du Bois du Rocher
These two have known each other since high school. One Christmas Eve, he asks for her hand. The obvious choice of a wedding surrounded by their loved ones in their region is obvious. A year and a half later, Leatitia and Teddy have organized down to the smallest detail an elegant wedding in Yvelines at the Château du Bois Rocher.
With images of Two Funny Birds, the bride and groom tell us…
The initial meeting
"We met there is almost 12 years, at the time we were in high school. After high school, we lost touch and it was only a few years later, 7 years ago, that we found each other again, never to part again.

The marriage proposal
“It was December 23, 2021, Christmas Eve Eve. Teddy used the pretext of a little early Christmas present to give me a beautiful bouquet of roses and take me to dinner in a very nice restaurant. We had a wonderful evening, then when we got home, in complete privacy, he asked for my hand. It was our best Christmas together and a wonderful gift for us and our loved ones.
The Bois Rocher Castle in the Bièvre Valley
“We both wanted our reception to be in an orangery and ideally in Ile-de-France. We fell in love with the orangery of the Castle of the Bois du Rocher and its beautiful park. This is the only place we visited, it was obvious to us and it met all our criteria (proximity, very large reception area, beautiful outdoor space for cocktails, etc.).

Wedding planning
“We started planning our wedding about a month after we got engaged, in January 2022. We knew we wanted to get married in June 2023. The first step for us was the wedding fair, where we met Morgane, our wedding day coordinator and decorator. We chose to organize our wedding ourselves because we knew exactly what we wanted, however from the beginning we had decided to call on a coordinator to accompany us on the big day so that we could fully enjoy ourselves.
We then had a year and a half to organize everything and what an adventure!
A few months before our wedding, we also followed an online coaching with a wedding coach who offers many modules to prepare your wedding and not forget any detail. It was a valuable help.
We have wonderful memories of these moments that we shared together but also with our loved ones; families and friends, who were always by our side during the preparations.

Wedding decoration
“It was with Morgane that we had imagined a scenography elegant, refined and modern at the same time, transcribed by white tones and lots of light for the magical side. Our main decorative elements were compositions of deconstructed white flowers (roses and gypsophila), with as the centerpiece a sublime floral arrangement that crossed our table of honor to cascade down to the ground, lots of candles and fairy lights that decorated the beautiful structure of the orangery.
For the stationery, we chose a very simple model on Cotton Bird, which we then dressed with personalized wax seals, silk muslin and baby's breath, elements that we found throughout our scenography."

Their most moving memory
"When we met in church, the exchange of vows, our exit from the church with the singers, our entry into the orangery and this incredible atmosphere, the speeches of our mothers and the surprise of our witnesses and friends... It's really hard to choose!"
Their best choice in wedding planning
"Our best choice is surely the photographer and videographer duo that we called upon: Les Deux Drôles D'oiseaux, because thanks to their incredible work, we will keep wonderful memories of our wedding.
We are also very happy to have called on Morgane, our D-day coordinator/decorator who was a real support for us on the big day and who created the decoration we dreamed of.”

Advice from the newlyweds
“Organizing a wedding is a long adventure lasting several months, sometimes years, but the long-awaited big day passes very quickly. When this wonderful day is over, all that remains are the memories and the images captured. For this reason, we believe it is very important to do not neglect the choice of photographer and videographer, because it will allow you and your loved ones to relive this day with great emotion.
Our second piece of advice is to appeal, as far as possible, to the services of a wedding planner (at least for the coordination of the big day) so that you and your loved ones can enjoy it to the fullest!”
