How did the initiative for this shooting come about?

An editorial in one of my favorite Provencal villages, this is what Maisons Pariente and theHotel Crillon le Brave proposed to me a few months ago.  From the outset of an editorial, I have to create a "story" and this one is Provençal, with the heart of it being the luxurious and family-run Hôtel Crillon le Brave. 

For this editorial I wanted to return to a religious ceremony. Because the union of a woman and a man remains the holy sacrament of a life. 

And why not bring together a community of creatives from the region to unite as one "man" around the creation of the editorial. Each of the protagonists had total involvement. 

The desire also to challenge a team by grouping together creative ideas. A creative pool was thus naturally created, the idea was that everyone would take flight within the editorial by mixing in a few drops of my artistic direction.

The Crillon Le Brave Hotel

The shooting team

A group of resolutely modern and passionate women, a team made up of a photographer, a blogger, a floral designer, a press officer, an artistic director and coordinator, but not only that…

Here is the perfect union and the secret of the outcome of this editorial: we are a creative team. 

From the start, everyone was able to freely express their desires and ideas. A single objective: excellence. TheHotel Crillon le Brave gave us free rein over the art direction.

A religious ceremony in the Crillon le Brave church

A very special thank you to the parish of Crillon le Brave who opened his doors to us. 

Father Yannick wanted to remind us of the main points of a union within the parish of Crillon le Brave: 

• Get married in a civil ceremony at the town hall.
• Have the agreement of the parish priest, namely that a Catholic religious wedding can only take place in a church.
• The sacrament of marriage always requires several months of preparation, with your file having to be submitted to the diocese within the defined time frame.

Styling and scenography

"To do something different while remaining authentic." That was the wish of Stephanie Fayolle which has brought together exceptional know-how around it.

Very quickly, the vision ofa couture, modern and elegant wedding was drawn. Styling was our first concern. Stéphanie was keen to work with the Lebanese designer Ziad Nakada which lent itself perfectly to a welcome dinner. For the wedding, we wanted to highlight a French designer. We naturally chose the most couture of them: Rime Arodaky. Our choice fell on the STORM model. On the jewelry side, we had an incredible crush on the world of Tatiana Verstraeten. For shoes, our choice fell on the KATE model de Bella Belle Shoes.

For the groom, we asked Blandin & Delloye to bring the silhouettes to life. The choice fell on a gold suit for the welcome dinner and a black tuxedo for the wedding day. A timeless and terribly elegant look.

On the religious ceremony side, Laetitia C chose to work with lilies, she imagined an incredible arch where the lilies floated around the altar. At the exit of the church, a vintage Porsche from Provence Classics was waiting for the bride and groom.

On the table side, everything started from this fabulous vaulted room of theCrillon le Brave Hotel. The black and white color code was a natural choice. Laetitia C imagined a cotton suspension that was both vaporous and romantic and made it dance above the table. White floral arrangements of tulips and carnations, and candles, decorated the centerpiece. For the tableware, Clementine Marchal imagined black satin drapes which elegantly dressed the plates of theCrillon le Brave Hotel.  The glassware of ferm living, the stationery of Paper cream and the couture wedding cake of Made in Cake have finished bringing the touch of modernity and elegance.

The most moving memory of these 3 days

You cannot create without challenging yourself and others. 

My fondest memory is from the second evening when I realized the project was complete. That's when I understood that we had created everything we had envisioned: a Editorial couture, cinematic and resolutely modern. 

It was so moving to see the whole team embrace the editorial story by incorporating their own sensibilities and creativity.
