Dancing love, writing the “we”
There are stories that don't begin with a grand speech, but with a dance step. This one was born on a dance floor in 2008, in the tumult of a night when two glances met and never left each other. Since then, they have continued to dance—in their own way—amid laughter, embraced differences, obvious complementarity, and a deep-rooted love.
In this wedding report For Ms. C, it is a question of of rhythm, memory and transmissionOf a love that is built in movement, that is replayed — like a cult scene — until it becomes a promise. Of a “yes” whispered under a tent, on Christmas Eve, with a child as witness and an entire past as its foundation.
Owners of the Château de MouillepiedLovers of love and accustomed to telling the stories of others, they decided it was time to inscribe their own story in stone, in black and white, in shadow and light. A civil, modern, symbolic wedding thought of as a gift to their loved ones, and lived as the first chapter of the rest of their lives.
Here is the interview with a couple who have chosen to play at love according to their own rules — and to invite us to do the same.

The initial meeting
It was in 2008 that our eyes met on the dance floor and since that day we have never stopped dancing.
This is THE encounter that changed my life.
In that nightclub, seventeen years ago, we laughed, twirled, talked, and dreamed together for hours. In just a few minutes, we already understood that this "us" was taking shape. We were young, and yet we would soon decide that our paths were meant to be shared. We were ready to embrace together this frenetic rhythm of love.
I spend hours getting ready in the morning, savoring a peaceful moment, while he sings in the shower. I love pistachio ice cream, and he loves mint. When we disagree, he leaves, and I catch up with him. We are different but so complementary; we manage to combine our strengths in our relationship and our family.
This marriage is just the beginning of the rest of our lives.
The marriage proposal
It was Christmas Eve, a little over a year ago. Mathieu had put up lights leading to a tent, set up in his parents' garden. Our daughter was holding my hand and together we walked towards this big moment.
To give you a little background, for our tenth anniversary, we had pitched a tent in the same spot to enjoy the starry night, in the heart of his family's garden. I was expecting a proposal that evening; it was the perfect moment. He gave me a ring, a solitaire. As I looked at him, tears of joy began to well up, but he quickly told me that no, it wasn't a marriage proposal… Just a gift.
So, six years later, he reenacted the same scene. This time, on his knees, he asked me: "Well?" To which I replied: "I want you to ask me the real question!" Tears were flowing and I said "YES!" of course.

We are the owners of Château de Mouillepied. We fell in love with it five years ago and writing our story here was a natural step for us!
Wedding planning
We started thinking about what we wanted a year before the big day.
It was quite easy to envision because we had attended many weddings before imagining our own! When we thought about organization, ultimately what we really wanted was to offer a gift to our loved ones: To allow them to experience these moments intensely with us.
Wedding decoration
A civil wedding with a modern and original touch!
Our talented decorator, Déborah from Studio Aloki, was our fairy godmother of set design. She brought our dream wedding to life with passion and dedication! It was so beautiful!
Black and White quickly became our preferred color, as it symbolizes "Yin and Yang," representing complementary opposites in love, as in all things. In a couple, each person retains their individuality while sharing a deep and common connection. Our souls intertwine between shadow and light, in the interplay of a life marked by joy and challenges!
Our game is love. We've created our own rules and invited everyone we love to participate!
We are in love with love. After marrying 160 couples and discovering just as many unforgettable stories, we decided it was our turn!

The bride and groom's outfits
The bride's outfit
For me, the bride, I wanted a unique piece in which I felt comfortable. A modern dress with that touch of whimsy that defines me. I chose an incredible designer, Julie Guerrero, who thought of every detail with kindness and attentiveness. My dress was perfect and the experience was truly memorable!
The groom's outfit
For the groom, it had to be quick and efficient: he had to feel good and I had to think he looked good. A trip to Paris with our groomsmen was all it took: he found his suit at Father & Sons And the matter was settled.
Their most moving memory
Our daughter, Lilas, received a letter from her father while I was getting ready in the bridal suite. Overwhelmed with emotion, she couldn't read it at first and began to cry. She knew the letter was a testament of love. After a few minutes, she settled down on the sofa, holding the large piece of paper in her small hands. It was a powerful moment because I know how deeply words affect her. This moment will be etched in my memory forever.
Their best choice in wedding planning
Partners in love and exceptional service, passionate professionals in whom we had complete trust. They are people we admire for their passion and professionalism! And also, a wedding planner, Charlotte, who was just starting out and was fantastic, attentive, responsive, and full of tenderness.
