This is the bold and poetic challenge taken up by Béatrice Lombardy, founder of the agency Lady of Hearts, through this wedding editorial bathed in sunshine, softness and summer sensuality. A project born from a deep need for escape, after a gray season, and an irresistible desire to make Auvergne shine differently.
Nestled in a castle with the allure of an Italian villa, this shoot blends Mediterranean inspirations with French elegance. Between the earthy tones reminiscent of the Tuscan hills, the generous bouquets dotted with fruit, and the scenography designed as a true celebration of the art of living, every detail evokes the Dolce Vita, this carefree and refined charm which invites you to savor the present moment.
But this dream could not have taken shape without a team of passionate service providers, united around a vibrant sun moodboard and emotions. All contributed to bringing this enchanted interlude to life. More than an inspirational shoot, it's a invitation to travel, an ode to marriage in your image: warm, unique, bright.

Wedding in Auvergne
I live in Auvergne and I love my region. After a particularly rainy spring, when everyone dreamed of sunshine and brighter landscapes, the desire to escape was even stronger. We wanted to capture that feeling of freedom and lightness that we missed so much. We chose this location to recreate an atmosphere reminiscent of Italy, a spirit that evokes vacation and escape.
On my first visit to this castle, I found it the perfect place for this imaginary journey. This little Auvergne Tuscany as it is called, although far from Italy, manages to transport us. It offers a complete change of scenery, while remaining accessible. This contrast between the desire for elsewhere and the local natural beauty seemed ideal to us to convey this atmosphere of a Mediterranean holiday.
The shooting team
It all started when I was contacted by Nathan and Marie, both of whom run boutiques specializing in suits and wedding dresses. Their initial request was to design a project with a summery flavor. That's when I saw the opportunity to bring the theme of The good life.
To illustrate this idea, I created a mood board, which incorporated photos of the château. This mood board captured the very essence of "La Dolce Vita." This allowed everyone to concretely visualize the project and fully embrace it.
It was essential for me to surround myself with service providers capable of faithfully translating this vision. I took care to select partners whose style and skills perfectly matched the spirit of the project.

The artistic direction
I wanted to create an atmosphere that evokes not only elegance, but also a certain art of living, where every detail—from the outfits to the decor—exudes lightness, beauty, and conviviality. This resulted in an in-depth search for images, textures, and colors that embodied this spirit.
I gathered these inspirations into a mood board, where the warm earth tones, the green of the olive trees, and the majestic architecture of the castle naturally emerged. The goal was to combine luxury and authenticity, a contrast that perfectly embodies La Dolce Vita: a blend of elegant simplicity and moments suspended in time, full of joy and beauty.
For the floral decorations, I was fortunate to be surrounded by true artists. They told me they were very inspired by the theme. I gave the florist a specific guideline: to integrate flowers and fruit into the arrangements. This allowed for a natural, vibrant, and authentic touch reminiscent of the sunny markets of Italy. And I let their magic work.
This Toile de Jouy tablecloth is the centerpiece of the table, a classic and elegant pattern with pastoral scenes. It brings a timeless touch that perfectly matches the atmosphere of the castle and the idea of refinement I wanted to create.
