Elegant wedding at Château de Baronville – Julie & Augustin

Elegant wedding
at the Château de Baronville
There are encounters that change a life, and Julie and Augustin's is one of them. Nothing predestined these two travelers to cross paths one day in Singapore. From this unexpected interlude, a beautiful story was born, one that would take them much further than expected... to a gondola in Venice, a slightly too daring knee, and an eternal promise.
Today, they open the doors to a wedding planned with passion, lived with intensity, and celebrated in a venue that lived up to their love. Between touches of Italy, bursts of laughter, meticulous details, and raw emotion, dive behind the scenes of three timeless days. A true ode to love, friendship, and the joy of living.
With images from their photographer The Bandits, the newlyweds testify…
The initial meeting
We met in Singapore. Augustin was on sabbatical in Southeast Asia, Julie was in transit with a friend while waiting to go to Bali for... A wedding! It was thanks to this mutual friend that we spent 24 hours together and fell head over heels for each other.
We met again in Paris and the adventure began.
The marriage proposal
Nothing could be more cliché: on a gondola in Venice! A little tip: watch your balance when you put your knee on the ground... We almost capsized!
After the emotion of the proposal, we wandered aimlessly around the city, still feeling like we were floating.

Wedding at the Château de Baronville
It was a no-brainer. Julie being sales director at Grand Chemin Catering, she knows all the castles in the Ile de France!
Le Baronville Castle is both majestic from the outside, especially upon arrival, and intimate inside. The pink stone, the terrace overlooking the immense park, the gallery and its columns, the dance floor with its marble floor, the lounges and the old-fashioned library make Baronville an exceptional place.
Additionally, it was important for us to accommodate our family and friends, many of whom were traveling from far away. The castle has 70 beds, which was ideal for us. Finally, the opportunity to enjoy the location for 3 days allowed us to experience the weekend of our dreams and fully enjoy our loved ones.
Wedding planning
We started planning a year and a half before the big day. We started by choosing the venue and date, then booking the town hall and the church.
The other providers were obvious to us. The caterer: Great Path Of course! For the photo and video, we fell in love with the Bandits. As for the DJ, the band, and the saxophonist, we trusted Jean-Michel, the manager of Baronville.
Once we had these great service providers on board, we were able to focus on the details that made the difference: the stationery, our outfits, the roles of our witnesses, the decoration, the guest gifts, the table plan, the staging...
Wedding decoration
We had a theme per day:
- Friday : summer party theme. Julie had a very colorful bouquet with fuchsia shoes, just like Augustin's bow tie. We were hosting 40 of our loved ones around a flashy, plant-based buffet.
- Saturday : elegance and sobriety. The colors came to us naturally from the castle's decor: the pink of the stone, the green of the park. Colors recalled by the witnesses' outfits and Augustin's bow tie, as well as the magnificent stationery created by the Grand Chemin teams (welcome signs, mass booklet, place markers, table numbers, etc.). The table and cocktail decorations, also created by Grand Chemin, were in the same tones with the use of peony, old rose, eucalyptus, and golden candlesticks. The tableware was selected from Options, to bring a few golden touches. To finalize this theme, we called on Joaillerie Ephémère, who created jewelry with fresh flowers, which was equally popular with women and men.
- Sunday : Dolce Vita theme. We love Italy and wanted to share this passion with our guests. A Spritz bar welcomed guests in a Fiat 500. San Daniele ham carving, bruschetta bar in a restored old Piaggio, a pizza maker, an Italian ice cream bar… the dream! The decoration was lemon-themed, with guest gifts of lemons, peaches, and a recipe for making your own jam.
The bride and groom's outfits
The groom's outfit
Augustin chose an electric blue suit for Friday, accompanied by fuchsia accessories. He wanted to sport his favorite color, green, for Saturday's outfit. The suits were designed by Confident, tailor in the swamp.
The bride's outfit
Julie had spotted on a dress Rime Arodaky several months before on Instagram. This dress turned out to be a no-brainer at first fitting. A modern princess dress, both elegant and sexy! To complete the look, a childhood dream came true with the purchase of Jimmy Choo shoes. As for jewelry, it was rather understated: Swarovski necklaces and bracelets given by Augustin for various occasions (Valentine's Day, birthdays, etc.)
Julie wore a second short and voluptuous dress to enjoy the evening, also from Rime Arodaky. For Sunday, she opted for a jumpsuit with a train and an open back, also from the same house. As for Friday, she chose a more understated outfit, with high-waisted pants and a feathered blouse, highlighting the colorful theme through the fuchsia shoes, the bouquet, and the colorful headpiece. She found her Friday outfit and shoes at Maison Guillemette.

Their most moving memory
There was, of course, the moment of discovery at the church, which was very symbolic. But if we're honest, our best memory is of entering the reception room before dinner. Our witnesses descended the castle's beautiful staircase and invited our guests to join the dance floor, where they gave us a most memorable welcome.
We chose a remixed version of the song Sara perché Ti amo, accompanied by a crazy saxophonist: Pierre Nogues.
Entering the venue is one of the final formal steps in a wedding. The welcome from our loved ones, the euphoria, the joy, and the smiles filled us with love and truly kicked off the evening.
Their best choice in wedding planning
Having listened to Julie about all the details that make the difference:
- The toilet survival kit
- The saxophonist who sets the mood during the dance party
- A shooter service while playing the song “shots shots shots”!
- Late-night flip-flops for those with sore feet
- A cocktail bar during the evening
- A shooter seating plan to set the mood as soon as guests enter the room

Advice from the newlyweds
Enjoy the moment to the fullest, because time flies by so quickly. Trust your chosen service providers and rely on your witnesses. Choose a friendly format with a long cocktail reception and a shorter dinner. And finally, listen to yourself: it's your wedding, you decide!
