Wedding in Corsica in Lagnonu – Juliette + Antoine
CONTENTS
In love with the island of beauty, Juliette and Antoine naturally chose Corsica to celebrate their wedding. To facilitate their organization, they chose a turnkey solution proposed by the team of the5 star hotel Lagnonu. An idyllic setting with slowlife notes that gives the impression of being at the end of the world.
With images of Julie Hardiagon, the bride tells us…
The initial meeting
“With Antoine, we have met in Paris in 2012. We were just friends for a very long time. It was only in 2019 that we got together. Antoine was working in London at the time and I was returning from a world tour. We suddenly saw each other differently and our first kiss took place on June 16, 2019 in the Jardin de Luxembourg, a little romantic wink.
I moved to London very quickly. Our story began there, before returning to France a few months later. Everything happened very quickly after that, we already knew each other so well.

The marriage proposal
“In November 2021, we left for Mexico. Fifteen days of vacation, well organized to discover the Yucatan. A wonderful memory!
Our last destination before returning to France was theHolbox Island. One morning, we took a long walk on a sandbank, surrounded by sublime turquoise water. Antoine pretended to prop his phone on his bag to take a photo with the self-timer. He slipped his hand into the bag at the same time and came back with the ring. We were alone in the world and it was in this incredible setting that Antoine proposed. It was a suspended moment, the timing was so well chosen.

Lagnonu in Corsica
"It was obvious to us to getting married in Corsica, we are both lovers of this beautiful island.
We were only interested in one single place, Lagnonu. It met all our criteria. A place full of charm at the water's edge, natural materials and colors that are sufficient in themselves. No need for extravagance or too much decoration. This place is simply sublime as it is and it is this little extra that seduced us. In addition, it is easily accessible from Ajaccio airport, it can accommodate a large number of guests, around thirty people can stay there and the size of the estate allows to have a place for a specific moment of the wedding. It was perfect.
Wedding planning
"Another special feature of this place is the team that accompanies each couple before and during the wedding. We booked our date 1 and a half years before the wedding and from that moment on everything was done hand in hand with the team at the estate to concoct the most beautiful wedding for us: from the process, to the menu, including the entertainment. My role ultimately was to choose the service providers and inform the guests. Easy!

Wedding decoration
"As for the floral decoration, it was Cathy, the owner of the place, who took care of it. We chose very fresh colors together, in pink and cream tones. The table decorations were sublime. There was no need for more."
Their most moving memory
"My most moving memory is the moment when I'm on my father's arm, I'm walking down the aisle that takes me to Antoine and I see all these faces. All these people that we love so much who are here for us, to celebrate our love and that's priceless."

Their best choice in wedding planning
"The best choice in terms of organization is to have chosen a turnkey venue. Cathy and her team made organizing the wedding enjoyable, a real team effort."

Advice from the newlyweds
"If I can give one piece of advice, it is to remember that this is one of the most beautiful days of our lives and that we must enjoy every moment. We must not put too much pressure on ourselves, the moment will be sublime in any case.
