Wedding on the island of Paxos – Stéphanie + Clément

For these French people from the other side of the world, the story begins in Australia. A year later, chance brings them together in Paris. This time, they will never leave each other again. From their Lebanese and Colombian cultures, they have designed a mixed marriage in Greece. A day bathed in sunshine on the island of Paxos.

The initial meeting

"In 2011 in Australia, during a birthday party. After exchanging a few words in English, we realized that we were both French. We then lost touch for 1 year before meeting again by chance in a bar in Paris. That's how the story began..."

The marriage proposal 

"In May 2018 during a romantic weekend in Paxos. We had gone on a getaway to celebrate our anniversary. While we were alone having dinner among the olive trees, Clément, all trembling, presented me with the ring in a shell"

“5 years ago, we had the privilege of having lunch in this place by the sea and already, the place seemed enchanting to us”

Wedding planning in Greece

“Being at a distance and not speaking Greek, it seemed obvious to us to call on a wedding planner.

We had the chance to meet Anais from The Fête, who was able to meet all our desires and introduce us to an outstanding photographer and videographer. Aris de Eye Witness Stories and Kostas of Cinema of Poetry were able to transcribe the wonderful atmosphere of this very special day."

“We wanted our wedding to reflect the authenticity of the island for which we had a real crush. That is why we had a simple and elegant decoration highlighting the natural assets of the place (i.e. olive tree, eucalyptus, beach, etc.). To complete this picture, lanterns, a plant table runner and a few candles were added.  «

"Unanimously, when our eyes met at the arrival of the bride's boat on the islet where the religious ceremony was to take place. At that moment, we both became aware of the importance of this unique and solemn moment."

"Trust your gut feeling to surround yourself with the right people and above all enjoy every moment. Don't hesitate to call on a videographer in addition to a photographer. A concentrate of your wedding in replay, it's still great!"
