When the power of love is obvious, nothing can stop it. For these two, everything happened very quickly. Despite different cultures and cities, an international pandemic, their love only grew. 3 years later, we find them again in Italy in the Marches.

In the Italian countryside, Melissa and Alessandro drew with their wedding planner the wedding they had dreamed of.

The initial meeting

“We met by chance in Mexico in 2019, on Christmas Eve. We fell in love at first sight and toured the rest of Mexico together. It was like we had known each other forever, waiting our whole lives for our other half to come back to us, it was truly magical.

Despite different cultures, cities and COVID19, we managed to reconnect at the end of 2020. And since then, we have never left each other.

The marriage proposal

“Rustic Italian countryside, immersed in greenery and nature, and overlooking the famous hills of the “Marchigiano” (of the MARCHE region). We wanted the event to highlight the true beauty of the magnificent Marchigiano landscape, its captivating nature, its fascinating culture, its delicious gastronomy and the incredible warmth of its people. This is where Alessandro comes from and this is where we both feel most spiritually comfortable.”

The reception venue in Italy

“The majestic Roman-era monastery was a big draw for us. We were fascinated by the different lives and stories that unfolded before us. Then there were the absolutely stunning facades, adorned with ivy and wisteria, that blew us away, surrounded by lush forests and Mediterranean groves. The venue also had multiple areas that allowed our guests to move to different locations throughout the evening. This was essential as it gave us the opportunity to add variety to the setting, pace and feel of the evening. It felt like we had 3-4 different locations in one large area.

Moreover, the road leading to the wedding venue was also surrounded by beautiful vineyards and olive groves on one side, snow-capped mountains on the other and complemented by a phenomenal view of the sea with an endless horizon. We were fascinated by the beauty of such a rare place and wanted to share this gem with our families and international guests.

Wedding planning

" We have planned our international wedding in 5 months. The Marie was based In Milan, the married had recently moved in Paris for work and our wonderful wedding planner was based in the steps where the wedding was to take place. We only went to the wedding venue twice before the wedding. It was incredibly stressful to coordinate and decide on most of our plans remotely.

Luckily we had Nadia from Loving Marche Wedding, our wedding planner, and a team of very professional partners that we could count on – they made our dreams come true.”

« Elegant warm and rustic, with only white and yellow spring flowers and olive leaves from the surrounding groves. All elements had to come from the surrounding countryside.”

Their most moving memory

" We have had 2 ceremonies, one chinese tea ceremony. It was at this point that we, as a couple, thanked our parents for their sacrifices and asked for their blessing to accept the bride and groom as a new member of the family. It was particularly emotional because as children, we had never really formally thanked our parents. Moreover, since it was a very new concept for the Italian family and most of the international guests, they were all moved by a very intimate and loving family moment.

Advice from the newlyweds

“On the wedding day, focus only on you and not about the guests, the program or anything else.

The day will go by too quickly, then enjoy every second. So make sure you delegate everything to everyone and have fun enjoying the best date of your life with your partner.
