To kick off this week, I'm bringing you some beautifully curated fall inspiration from The Little AgencySurrounded by a host of talents, Elodie has imagined an equestrian tableau in the English countryside full of elegance and subtlety.
With the beautiful images of Julien Navarre, she tells us more…
How did the initiative for this wedding inspiration come about?
“A lifelong rider, and Norman to boot, for this shoot I wanted to offer the bride and groom a delicate equestrian atmosphere which can be easily adapted to a place that calls for this theme or for those who have a more or less special connection with the horse. An elegant atmosphere without being stuffy, warm without being rustic.

The scenography: English equestrian wedding
"For this, we used a palette of warm colours around plum, combined with a touch of green reminiscent of the surrounding nature and the wood and aged gold which enhance the whole. This colour palette naturally suited an Anglo-Norman environment, which can be found in the architecture of the place and its exposed beams, this British side which resides in many Norman reception venues.
In order to add this pinch of elegance, we also took inspiration from the American art of living, where the Ralph Lauren brand stands out as a reference and to which the world of horse racing is clearly associated, by twisting this constant with a touch of French art of welcoming.
This is also our motto: The Little Agency is “the Parisian house that French kisses US marriage”
Our driving force was above all to offer the bride and groom a scenography that could be achieved in real life, in a real wedding. Being able to set a table for 6 or for 150 with the same elements. A flowery table near the lake, vintage and elegant wooden furniture, a purple silk table runner from Orchidée de Soie: we mixed second-hand objects and other more current ones on this table of honor. The letterpress menus made by Graphikkart and printed by Dragonflies are decorated with a feather and a golden thread, which are also found on the guest gifts, associated with a reminder of the plum of the flowers, and a golden wax seal, all of this making the link with the table accessories.
To stay in the idea of conviviality, themed bars are always a good idea. They bring proximity to guests who do not yet know each other: gluttony is always a good subject to start a conversation! The cheese bar and its wedding cake are a natural and local alternative to the wedding cake. The stacked wheels always have their little effect! We also find fruits and nuts in the vintage golden urn of La Bohème as well as crackers for lovers of "English" tasting. The tea bar can be used on several occasions: before the secular ceremony for a winter wedding to warm up the guests or in summer, associated with herbal teas for a more sober end to the evening ...

The shooting team
The place: the Domaine de la Butte Ronde
"An outdoor wedding, while easy in Provence, can be risky in the Paris region or in Normandy, but can be attempted with an optimal fallback solution... Indeed, our beautiful regions can have many surprises in store for us! What could be more appealing than a beautiful evening surrounded by family and friends under a starry sky, with greenery, horses and the smell of freshly mown grass as a backdrop...
The ideal location for this shooting had to include large green spaces, forest, an equestrian world and a reception room for the rain alternative. We found it in the heart of Yvelines, a few kilometers from Normandy: The Round Hill Estate. We can also feel this proximity: with all this greenery, this architecture with exposed beams and this wooded environment, we would almost forget that we are still in Ile-de-France ... The stud farm is also part of the property: the fields with long wooden rails are inhabited during the day by the happy boarders who spend themselves there without counting. A great entertainment for the little ones! The icing on the cake: an island with a pontoon on the lake, accessible by a small white bridge with undeniable charm. Enough to organize a magical secular ceremony!

The photographer: Julien Navarre
After the theme and the location, all that remained was to find the team of service providers to whom this universe would speak. For weddings, we like above all to work in a good mood and with total trust. This state of mind had to be reflected in the shooting: so we contacted our "favorites", those with whom we were not only sure that the result would be great but who, in addition to all that, are adorable, creative and ultra-talented people! They all got involved and each brought more than expected. A perfect shooting day in a good mood!
Julien Navarre, the photographer, was the first to follow us in the adventure. We are fans of his images, his world and his talent as a "light catcher". He brings to the whole thing this slightly wild twist that we like so much and has the "trick" to capture magical moments, perfect places.
His affection for graphic lines, alignment or even symmetrical framing brings a grace to his images. He knew how to highlight the nature of the place, the essence of the moment, to underline the perfect line of the superb dress from the 2016 collection of Stephanie Wolff and the awesome tartan costume from Faubourg Saint Sulpice. Your wedding day is the perfect day to bring out your true nature and dare to wear outfits that you might not dare to wear on a daily basis...

Flowers: Lily Paloma
Soline and Clement of Lily Paloma then joined us, with their taste for beauty and their keen sense of colors and aesthetics. Each of their creations (and this one in particular!), are a feast for the eyes. We would like to have them all in our living room!
Their choice of plants, always noble and of impeccable quality, was made from the colors of the mood board, to then select the flowers: the best compromise between aesthetics, the play of materials, textures, and volumes in order to achieve a lively, wild result. The creation had to bring a dynamic to the table, always in a natural spirit, like a falsely neglected hairstyle that would have nevertheless required hours of work ...
The choice of containers is as important as the flowers themselves: the mix of heights, sizes and sea green and aged gold colors bring rhythm and depth to the compositions.

Stationery: Graphikkart
Stephanie of Graphikkart offered us a stationery that was totally in line with the spirit of the shooting. She brought her creativity and understanding of the expected result by creating an elegant stationery, simple and complex at the same time, through the play of fonts and the finesse of the illustrations.
Finesse which was also a challenge for Mylène and Denis, the talented letterpress printers at Dragonflies : challenge met with flying colors because every detail of the horse illustration on the menu is visible and magnified by this revival printing technique that we love so much. We are convinced that details are just as important from the beginning of the wedding to the end: receiving an invitation printed on superb thick cotton paper awakens the senses and the touch speaks for itself…

Beauty Makeover: HJ Paris
Once the costumes and dresses were chosen, it was finally necessary to highlight the beauty of each person. Harold James was obvious: he is a real magician! Hair or make-up, he can do it all. It is difficult to find someone as talented and who combines the two techniques. Lou-Eva was in good hands! He managed to use the purple tones of the shooting, not necessarily easy to work with, by bringing out the blue-green of her eyes. The result of the beauty treatment was just what was needed: elegant. The pretty hair jewel, a comb created by Orchidée de Soie highlights the low bun, very trendy this year. Ponytail for Monsieur, British please!
