Winter wedding in the mountains at the Gite du Passant

Winter wedding at the Gîte du Passant

"We have made the choice of Gîte du Passant, above all for its family and authentic setting in the heart of Haute-Savoie. We wanted a winter and snowy wedding, so it was only natural that we started looking for a beautiful wooden high-altitude chalet for this inspiration shoot.

The Gîte du Passant team was immediately interested in our project, and welcomed us perfectly in this natural setting. It must be said that from the outdoor ceremony area, and the reception room, we were able to enjoy an exceptional view of the Aravis mountain range. The feeling of being in our bubble for these two days… A short 15-minute walk on a path in the middle of nature allows us to access the gîte. Arrived at the chalet, we are welcomed with wine and hot chocolate. It is the ideal place to completely disconnect! »

The shooting team

"We had already worked with most of the service providers present on this shoot. We were therefore certain of their excellence and expertise in their field. We were also keen to bring together a team with eco-sensitivity being able to offer future brides and grooms eco-responsible creative alternatives and to promote our French designers. 

On this inspiration, we were able highlight rental, second-hand, short circuits and made in France.

The scenography 

“For the scenography, we trusted Marie Hardy, MH interior designer. Our wish was to leave on a all white wedding, so that it can perfectly match the snowy environment of the cottage. The choice of this color also brought light to the more rustic and warm interior of the Gîte du Passant. We focused our work on the marriage of materials, to be able to bring relief to a monochrome scenography.

With the help of our second-hand dealers and designers, Marie was able to perfectly establish a coherent, minimalist, modern and warm scenographyand within this chalet. »

The overall range based on 100 guests is between €46000 – €55000.

• Marceau, "The Passerby Gite" : “You have to take the time to come and visit the place you want to be able to more easily appreciate the setting, the beauty and the charm of the place. This allows you to project yourself well and then imagine the common thread of the wedding. Choose a place that suits you, and not to impress your guests.
• Charlene, "Beige" : “I advise future brides to contact beauty providers quickly once the ceremony venue has been booked. Many contact us at the last minute and find themselves without a provider. It is important to take the time to talk with us in order to choose the provider who will best meet your expectations to be sublime on your wedding day. Communication is the key to a successful beauty treatment. I recommend doing your tests about 2 to 3 months before the big day to be able to set up a beauty routine if necessary.”
• Laura, " milucia » : « For my part, I advise the bride and groom to order their flowers several months in advance. Each paper flower is shaped by hand and requires a significant amount of time to manufacture. Paper flowers allow you to choose your favorite flowers even out of season, and to be able to reuse them after the big day or as a guest gift. Choosing paper flowers means being in a sustainable and eco-responsible approach for a floral decoration that reflects you. »
• Manila, Mani’s Little Joys: "The decoration budget can be quite substantial for a wedding. I advise you above all to think about your decoration in the long term. The idea is to create hand in hand elements that resemble you, that follow your desires and your inspirations, and which, subsequently, can follow you in the decoration of your cocoon after the wedding! There is no point in ordering decoration only for the big day. Let's create beautiful memories together with a story that lasts..."
