It was in this dreamlike setting that Rachel and Kamron chose to seal their union, far from the hustle and bustle, in the warm intimacy of their loved ones. Intimate wedding in Provence
Kamron and I knew from the start that we wanted an intimate wedding, with only our immediate family. We actually dubbed our wedding an “elopement-plus.” With that in mind, we knew a destination wedding was a no-brainer. In fact, both of our families had already visited France several times, which seemed perfect. We were looking for a quiet location, but one with a landscape that would stand on its own. We chose theCrillon-le-Brave Hotel, which offered an intimate luxury experience. It was even better than we had imagined. Kamron and I will never forget waking up to the magnificent autumn landscapes of Provence.

Wedding planning
Once we found the hotel, we were put in touch with Stephanie Fayolle and WEP. From the moment we met Stéphanie, we knew she fully understood our vision and would be the perfect person to coordinate our special weekend. Stéphanie far exceeded all our expectations and made this experience simply magical—she is absolutely exceptional!
Thanks to her, we were able to choose the Chateau Martinay for our intimate ceremony. Although we had originally planned to get married near the cypress trees, the weather decided otherwise, and we moved the ceremony inside the castle. The castle was, of course, decorated with impeccable taste, so it turned out to be the perfect solution. We knew we wanted to have our wedding photos taken in the castle grounds, it was so beautiful. Stéphanie introduced us to our photographer, Nina Wernicke, who captured the beauty of this weekend – from the rehearsal dinner, to the preparations, to the ceremony and our small cocktail and festive dinner that followed. Nina and Stephanie were both essential in making this weekend such a special moment for us.

Wedding decoration
Due to the natural beauty of the venue, we knew we wanted to keep the decor simple. We also opted for understated, classic wedding attire. We took inspiration from a vintage Provençal style, with a touch of old-fashioned glamour, and used shades of green to highlight the olive trees, which would be the centerpiece of our wedding dinner table.
For the invitations, we chose a wedding stationery set designed by Minted in collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Part of the design on the invitation was inspired by a print by the artist Jean Pillement (Chinoiserie, from the New Suite of Chinese Arabesque Notebooks for the Use of Designers and Painters).
We also wore jewelry and watches that had been passed down through our families. Our wedding rings were those of our great-grandparents. This further reinforced the intimate feel we wanted for our wedding.
