Mediterranean Wedding in Menorca
Menorca, Mediterranean setting of a transatlantic love
There are stories that cross oceans, and others that defy borders. Belén and Christopher's is a bit of both. She, a radiant and creative Spaniard. He, an elegant and discreet American. They meet in Alabama, on a college campus, far from everything they knew—but close to what would become obvious: each other.
Years later, it is on the unspoiled island of Minorca that they chose to say yes, surrounded by their loved ones from all over the world. A celebration designed as an ode to their story: intimate, cosmopolitan, resolutely refined. Nestled in the heart of the old town of Ciutadella, the Cal Bisbe Palace of the Gran Faustino Relais & Châteaux offered the perfect setting for an enchanting interlude.
Under the artistic direction of Manuela Sosa, the flowers seemed to have come out of a dream. The bride, sublime in Ze Garcia, walked the ancient stones of this palace with Mediterranean grace. And when the first notes of " Sweet Home Alabama » echoed at the entrance to dinner, emotion suspended time.
Between mastered aesthetics, relaxed atmosphere and warmth of heart, Belén and Christopher orchestrated a wedding in their image: elegantly effortless, vibrant with meaning and terribly inspiring.

The initial meeting
We met in Alabama during our college years. Chris was a student-athlete on the tennis team, and I was a student at the University of Alabama. This American university setting was the perfect setting for two people from different countries to meet and fall in love.
The marriage proposal
Since Chris is American and I'm Spanish, many of our friends and family come from all over the world. Our greatest wish was to celebrate love: a magical and unforgettable moment shared with all our loved ones.

Wedding in Menorca in the Balearic Islands
We chose the island of Menorca for its charm and romantic atmosphere. It exudes a timeless and serene atmosphere, and we immediately knew it was the perfect place for our wedding.
Wedding planning
We started planning about a year in advance. Planning a wedding from Miami, where we lived, made things a little more complicated, but we were lucky to have the incredible support of our family in Barcelona, closer to Menorca, who helped us a lot throughout the process.
Wedding decoration
For me, the setting and atmosphere were extremely important. I'm very creative and I loved imagining the visual universe of this day. The venue itself already looked like a fairytale, a magnificent historic palace, so we played with its beauty. Manuela de @gangandthewool created floral arrangements straight out of a dream, including the centerpieces and the main table. I couldn't have dreamed of anything more beautiful.

The bride and groom's outfits
The groom's outfit
Chris wore a tailored suit from the Italian brand Corneliani. He was magnificent.
The bride's outfit
Creating our outfits was one of the most exciting steps. I worked with José, the designer of Ze GarciaI wanted something elegant, Mediterranean, and simple, and the team immediately understood my essence. It was a creative journey that I loved from start to finish; José is a true genius.
Their most moving memory
Our arrival at the reception was a most moving moment. Sweet Home Alabama " was playing in the background, a small tribute to the place where we first met. It was so special.
Their best choice in wedding planning
One of the best decisions we made was toorganize a cocktail dinner without an assigned table. This allowed us and our guests to move around freely, chat, and enjoy the evening in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
