Modern Fugue in Mykonos

In a veil of softness and poetry, Veronique Lorre  and Heloise Gabaud of So Helo designed and planned down to the smallest detail this wedding inspiration with Mediterranean notes. A beautiful escape to Greece in the Cyclades on the unmissable island of Mykonos. Modern, white, minimalist and an extra dose of slow.

How did the initiative for this shooting come about? 

With its beautiful beaches and turquoise waters, breathtaking sunsets, whitewashed houses; rolling hills and overhanging bougainvillea, the island of Mykonos offers us the perfect setting for all lovers looking for a dream destination to get married.

Designed by Veronique Lorre and planned with Héloïse de So Helo, this editorial focused on a minimalist and modern bride storyWe fall under the spell of the filmmaker's images. Sandy Cluzaud and the photographer Vivien Malagnat.

Modern Wedding in Mykonos

“A week before leaving for Greece, we were informed by Héloïse that we had to change our plans due to a last-minute cancellation from the owner of our rental. Being flexible and creative is a key word in our industry. 

We decided to leave an island for a new destination: Mykonos. 

Thanks to Angela from Mykonos luxury travel whom we thank again, we visited and immediately fell in love with the Grecotel Mykonos Blu who warmly welcomed our team for the filming of this editorial. 

Designed to take full advantage of the bright light of the Aegean Sea, reflecting the cubist lines of the Cyclades and overlooking the sea as well as the famous Psarou beach, this dreamy resort with its whitewashed walls, blue pools and stone terraces, was the perfect setting to create an intimate wedding “picture”.

Looking at the space, its architecture and design, words such as minimalist, refined, sober, editorial, luxury and fashion came to our minds.

Bougainvillea is a local flower that spreads all around the streets of the island. As a common thread of this editorial, we have kept a monochrome, bright and vibrant color palette.

The shooting team

Inspired by the simplicity and elegance of minimalist style, modern wedding dress silhouettes from Cleophina emphasized the bride's natural beauty while creating a luxurious aesthetic. The makeup and hairstyles ofAffinity Beauty, handmade jewelry and accessories from So Helo adorned both of our brides with beautiful, unique and personalized details, bringing a » French touch  » to the bride's look.

Finally, the monochrome bougainvillea bridal bouquets from Veronique Lorre fit perfectly into this modern and refined look, while bringing a touch of fantasy and color to this all-white and blue decor.

Set on the terrace overlooking the sea, the table runner features monochrome centerpieces of hot pink bougainvillea to highlight a modern style while bringing a luxurious aesthetic.

All this is perfectly complemented by the refined menus prepared by Graphic Promise on a very beautiful handmade paper.

Do you want a princess wedding with a small group? That is also possible... The most beautiful weddings are not necessarily the biggest and most lavish.....
