Modern wedding in Corsica at Domaine U Castellu di a Sulana

When the Corsican soul elevates a contemporary vision of marriage.

At the dawn of promises, there are places that whisper vows even before they are spoken. Perched between sky and stone, the Castellu di a Sulana becomes the stage for a vision of marriage that is both raw and precious, where emotion slips into every detail.

Born from the obvious encounter between PAUÈME and Audrey Leccia, this editorial is above all a story of alchemy. The alchemy of two sensitive eyes, driven by the same desire: to celebrate love as an art of living, free, demanding, and deeply embodied. Together, they create an unconventional inspiration, far from the obvious, where elegance meets audacity and where each image tells more than just a story—it tells an intention.

Between mineral and light, deliberate whiteness and silvery glimmers, At the Dawn of Promises explores a contemporary, timeless, almost cinematic fusion. An ode to collective creation, to attention to detail, and to that rare emotion that arises when everything aligns perfectly. An inspiration conceived as a work of art, to be discovered slowly, to be fully experienced.

What is the genesis of this wedding inspiration?

It all started with a meeting.
Audrey came all the way to Ajaccio to meet me, as if a little voice in her head was whispering to her: "With her, you will do great things."

From our very first conversations, there was an undeniable connection. She had complete trust in me, almost disconcerting, and I felt a deep desire not to disappoint her. I admired her perspective, her sensitivity, her talent, and I believe she inspired me on numerous occasions.

From this encounter, a partnership was born: two passionate women, driven by a keen eye for detail, perfectionism, and a certain French art of living. But also with this burning desire to challenge conventions, to tell stories differently, to create images that are as impactful as they are moving.

This editorial is the translation of that alchemy. It's our way of celebrating marriage as a total art form, where every element is considered, every emotion felt, every collaboration essential.

The U Castellu di a Sulana estate in Corsica

Not a venue that you find at every wedding, but an unexpected place, a little lost, almost secret, which would carry within it a soul, a history, a rare singularity.

Castellu di a Sulana was the obvious choice. This perched building, with its stones marked by time, seems to tell a thousand stories. It embodies both strength and poetry, rootedness and escape.

What we immediately loved, beyond its architectural beauty, was the breathtaking, spectacular, almost surreal view—the perfect backdrop for an exceptional wedding. It's a place that doesn't compromise. It commands respect, inspires creativity, and lends a timeless quality to every setting.

The shooting team

The very essence of this editorial rested on a simple but fundamental idea: nothing great is achieved alone.

Audrey and I built everything together, every decision made hand in hand. This project was our playground, but above all, a manifesto for the importance of a united team, chosen with heart and a shared vision.

We brought together talents who, each in their own way, brought much more than know-how: they gave meaning, soul, and coherence to what we imagined.

The bride's dresses

Cecile Casabianca @cecilecasabianca
We wanted to start with her, as we greatly admire her work. Cecile embodies the grace and strength of clothing, modernity rooted in elegance. It was a true honor to have had the chance to meet her and collaborate with her. Her dresses perfectly captured our vision: allure, character, and softness.

MUHA

Illona – Makeup & Hair @illona.makeupartist
She was chosen for her attentiveness, versatility, gentleness, and above all, her immense talent. She was able to enhance our model with rare sensitivity, always in harmony with the overall atmosphere. She was an invaluable ally from beginning to end.

floral design

A Rosula @arosula.fleuriste
Rosana was love at first sight, a natural fit, and I feel immense gratitude. She trusted us completely and embarked on this adventure with us, displaying a professionalism and generosity that deeply touched me. On this island, a promise is invaluable: she is the perfect example.

Scenography

Maurelle House @maisonmaurelleevent
Monia is a diamond in the rough. Working with her means pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Her passion is contagious, her eye is formidable, and her commitment is unwavering. She has enhanced our art direction with incredible accuracy and precision. Nothing escapes her notice.

Stationery

PAUÈME @paueme.event
The stationery designed by PAUÈME has been meticulously and sensitively conceived to perfectly complement the world of publishing. It's a delicate way of expressing, through paper, another facet of the company's expertise.

At the Dawn of Promises - Madame C's Wedding Blog

Wedding rings

Claret Jewelry @claret_joaillier
A family-run business in Bastia with remarkable expertise, their presence was a natural fit. Their professionalism, understated elegance, and mastery make them the perfect partners for timeless wedding jewelry.

Complementary jewelry

Béatrice De Casalta – Spampilla @spampillajewel_officiel
To further anchor our editorial in Corsica, we have incorporated Béatrice's unique creations, notably her sublime Immortelle collection. A way to connect jewelry to the island's identity with great refinement.

Shoes and accessories

La Chapelle @boutiquelachapelle
Based in Bastia, La Chapelle offers a carefully curated selection of accessories and shoes, perfectly in keeping with our theme. The contrasts, the interplay of silver light, the clean lines… each pair seemed created specifically for the occasion. A true favorite.

Custom-made macarons

Nanamacarons @benoite_nanamacarons
Benoîte created magnificent custom-made silver macarons for us, perfectly in line with our artistic direction. Indulgence conceived as a stylistic element, right down to the last detail.

Classic car

Classic Car Corsica @classiccarcorsica
Boris and Jean-Marie were exceptionally kind and helpful. Their stunning vintage car almost stole the show from the bride more than once… and yet, it was perfectly in keeping with the setting, like a vintage nod to our modern vision of a wedding.

mannequins

 @lucianievaa et @pierrecarta

This editorial is a collective work. Every detail was meticulously considered, every service provider played a central role. Nothing was left to chance. And if the magic happens in the images, it's because behind the scenes there was listening, enthusiasm, and above all, a great deal of respect.

The artistic direction

The art direction of this editorial was born from a joyful mess, like we all know in the beginnings of a passion project.

It all started on Instagram, in a long, somewhat disorganized conversation between Audrey and Pauline. Whenever one of them stumbled upon an inspiration—a photo, a reality, a detail, a mood—she would send it to the other. Ideas flew in every direction, unfiltered and unrestrained. It was vibrant, raw, sometimes incoherent, but brimming with enthusiasm.

Little by little, we felt the need to channel all of this. To lay a foundation. So, we created a shared folder in which we started recording all our ideas: our favorites, our current obsessions, our artistic impulses. It was in this folder that the magic began to happen: a common thread emerged.

We then defined our line: a A silver, elegant, minimalist editorial, where white and flowers would be the visual pillars of the wholeSilver, for its discreet, almost liquid brilliance, its timeless modernity. White, for its purity, its symbolic power, and its ability to enhance without ever stealing the light.

We brainstormed around this palette, refining the materials, textures, and contrasts… Each supplier then enriched this vision with their own sensibility. This is what gave the project its strong visual coherence, without ever confining it to a rigid aesthetic.

A clear line, yes, but one that leaves room for a great deal of interpretation. It is this blend, between structure and spontaneity, that made this editorial so beautiful.

Professional advice for future brides and grooms

If there's one thing we'll remember from this adventure, it's that the team does everythingSurround yourself with people you truly trust, not just because they  do the job well  "But because they understand who you are, what you want to say. This connection is felt on the big day. And believe me, it makes all the difference."

Take the time to choose service providers who speak your languagewho resonate with you, who dare to dream alongside you. Harmony also arises from this: from a shared energy.

In terms of decor, set design, atmosphere… dare to be yourselfEven if it doesn't tick all the Pinterest boxes. The important thing is that it's sincere, that it moves you, before anyone else.

La logistics, often underestimated, is nevertheless essentialThis is the behind-the-scenes work, but it's what allows the magic to happen seamlessly. Smooth coordination means relaxed newlyweds and guests who can fully enjoy themselves.

And especially, Trust the prosOnce the team is in place, let go, let yourself go. It's often in these moments that the most beautiful surprises are born.
