Modern wedding in Tarn-et-Garonne
at the Barony Castle
Far from the rustic and bohemian worlds so popular with brides and grooms in the South West, the wedding photographer Mathilde Bergès and the wedding planner Romane Marmiesse-Jourdan have imagined a a poetic and refined alternative. Hand in hand, they created a modern atmosphere with dreamlike notes.
With the beautiful images of Mathilde B. Photography, the team tells us more…
Modern wedding in Tarn-et-Garonne at the Château de la Baronnie
When we envisioned the shoot, we wanted a location that was representative of our beautiful Southwest region, but with restraint. Indeed, red brick is often very prevalent in reception venues around Toulouse. With its beige-toned facade and exceptional interiors, the Château de la Baronnie was, for us, the ideal location for this inspirational shoot with its clean, luminous, soft, and timeless feel.

The shooting team
We wanted to create a timeless universe for this inspiration shoot. A clean, bright, sober universe so that in several years, the bride and groom will still love their decoration, their outfits and the style of their wedding.
To do this, we called on several talented service providers who would be perfectly able to meet this expectation.
About the scenography Mathilde, the photographer and Novels, Wedding planner, worked hand in hand to create the spirit of the shooting with the following key words: pure, sober, elegant, vaporous and poetic. Several months of exchanges and ideas to make this project as successful as possible.
About flowers, Laurene met our expectations 100% with a fine selection of timeless flowers: the anthuriums with their raw, slender shape give height to the table and blend perfectly with the poetic lightness of the Delphiniums.
We worked a lot on the styling of this shoot and in particular the textures of the fabrics used. The lightness and the vaporous side had to be omnipresent in the scenes. The dress that we proposed Samantha, a very talented wedding dress designer at Alma Réal, entrusted us with the perfect dress: the silk organza blouse brings a lightness and a very poetic and sensual movement at the same time. The draped strapless dress in silk crepe embodies the very elegance that we wanted for this shoot. The tablecloth and napkins arranged on the table also brought this dimension of lightness, a vaporous spirit.
The sober and elegant costume signed Capitole Workshop and worn by Alexandre was ideal for the timelessness of the shooting.
For the beauty treatment, we called on the gentle Sarah Fekir, for her natural beauty looks and her hairstyles that are always very precise and elegant. The beautiful Alexia, Miss Haute-Garonne 2024 was splendid in her role as future bride alongside the sparkling Alexandre. The two future bride and groom wore very beautiful creations signed Zeina alliances. The wedding rings were perfect to support this idea of timelessness. The cultured pearl earrings are signed Maison Salvat, creator of wonderful jewelry for brides.
The stationery created by Marion sublimated the table as well as the moment of exchanging wishes. The play between the artisanal paper and the more contemporary paper is just divine to support this desire for timelessness. The colors are soft while being slightly contrasted. Marion immediately understood our desires and even sublimated our ideas.
Guest gifts created by Pauline add a touch of transparency and poetry to this refined table. We opted for a fragrance that recalls the “couture” side as well as a very poetic peony-shaped candle.
Finally, Trina, an exceptional pastry chef at Melado Cake She managed to bring that touch of lightness and draping to the wedding cake. A wonderful and delicious creation.

The artistic direction
For the past few years, rustic chic, vintage, and romantic styles have been popular wedding themes in the Southwest. We wanted to offer future brides and grooms a poetic and refined alternative to these themes by working mainly around light, vaporous textures, soft, pastel colors and timeless white flowers.
We also wanted to add a few “Haute-Couture” touches like this sublime wedding dress which really sets the pace for the shoot.
Le Barony Castle It was perfect for creating that poetic dimension while adding a touch of romance, which is important for a wedding. The magnificent castle staircase was a truly inspiring setting for the entire photoshoot.

Professional advice for future brides and grooms
- If you want to have timeless memories of your wedding, bet on a sober, elegant decoration and choose soft, pastel tones. This will allow you in several years, not to regret having chosen colors that were trendy at one time, but outdated at another.
- If poetry and romance are important to you, work around the fabrics, textures of your dress and the flowers, selecting light, vaporous fabrics as well as graphic and poetic flowers.
- And for a refined but not sad table, we work around flowers, we give height, we play with transparent vases and other pastels, we add fruits for the gourmet and original side, and finally, we bet on elegant stationery as well as original and timeless guest gifts.
