Behind the lens, photographer Mélody Barabé surrounded herself with unique talents to imagine a couture vision, tailor-made to her specifications. Inspired by the ocean and its infinite movement, the team gave birth to a monochrome atmosphere, where white becomes language, material, and emotion.

How did the initiative for this shooting come about?
For the past three years, I have been organizing Tangerine shootings : a visual creation retreat specially designed for wedding photographers, with the ambition of creating a humanly enriching collective experience.
In an inspiring setting, we come together to share our passions, discuss the profession and grow together.
My goal is for each participant to transcend themselves, discover new perspectives and leave charged with good energies, ready to breathe new life into their work. This retreat is not only an opportunity to learn from each other, but also a moment of deep connection, where everyone can draw inspiration and motivation. Together, we create images that reflect our collective vision, while highlighting the richness of our individualities.
It is within the framework of this creative adventure that I imagined a monochrome white shoot where mingle the influences of fashion and the ocean : ideal for exploring refined and bold visual concepts.

In my quest for the perfect place to organize a wedding inspiration shoot, the Coco Barn Wood Lodge was an obvious choice. Nestled near the ocean, this place is more than just a setting; it’s an experience. With its rustic yet refined ambiance, this unique venue combines raw wood elements with modern touches, offering a warm and authentic atmosphere that exudes both warmth and elegance.

The shooting team
Each member of our team was chosen not only for his expertiseBut also for the energy and creativity it brings to each project. I am convinced that the quality of a shooting is based on the synergy between its participants. This is why I looked for service providers whose passion for their profession is reflected in every detail, every artistic choice. They all contributed to creating a collaborative and inspiring atmosphere.
I am proud to have assembled such an inspiring team, who infused their passion into every moment of the shoot. It is this collective energy that truly made our project shine and allowed me to create the images in this series.

The artistic direction
In a world where vibrant colors often catch the eye, I chose toexplore the purity and timeless elegance of white through a shooting ofmonochrome inspiration.
The White, a symbol of simplicity and refinement, offers us a unique testing ground. By bringing together passionate service providers, we wanted to create a collective experience where everyone could bring their vision and expertise. This shoot is more than just a project; it is a celebration of collaboration and shared inspiration, where each participant contributes to weaving a coherent and impactful visual narrative.
By choosing white as our backdrop, we wanted to capture the very essence of marriage: the purity of emotions, the beauty of authentic moments and the light that illuminates unions. This aesthetic choice pushes us to evolve towards a couture style, integrating refined and modern elements, while honoring the traditions that make each wedding a unique event.
I am convinced that wedding photography must be both artistic and emotional, a reflection of love and commitment. This monochrome shoot is our invitation to dream, create and redefine the standards of wedding photography. Together, we are building an aesthetic that celebrates beauty in its purest form.
I imagined a universe where elegance meets purity, and where freedom of spirit is expressed through every detail. This shoot celebrates the timeless beauty of white in an editorial setting, while evoking the free and bold spirit of surfing.
The story we tell begins with a vision: that of a pure and authentic love, a tribute to the connection between two souls who dare to live fully. The waves, symbol of movement and freedom, are reflected in the choice of each element, from the flowing fabrics to the modern cuts, creating a harmonious marriage between sophistication and adventure.
White is showcased here in a multitude of textures and shades. The bride's dress, both contemporary and timeless, reveals delicate details reminiscent of the ocean on the bodice. The minimalist décor, enhanced with white floral arrangements, creates an ethereal and serene atmosphere, where the soft, diffused light evokes the vastness of sun-drenched beaches. This setting becomes the ideal playground for a celebration where every moment is an invitation to authenticity.
