Marrakech Lovers

In a whisper of oriental flavors, today's story takes us to Marrakech for a sensual tête-à-tête. On a desire elsewhere of the photographer I am Laury, This wedding inspiration came as a deliciously obvious choice.

Between Medina and the Agafay desert, Laury and wedding planner Siham de The Pearl Events have imagined a romantic elopement in Marrakech.

With his images, I am Laury gives us his inspirations…

How did the initiative for this shooting come about? 

“I think I had been dreaming for a very long time of photographing a wedding in Marrakech. This city inspires me, its warm colors, its artisans, its architecture. Marrakech is a warm work of art that caught my eye.

The shooting team

I knew that developing this project in the middle of June, when the season is in full swing, was a risk worth taking. So I called on Siham of The Pearl Events, her world spoke to me and it is probably the best choice I could have made to create this project. Siham is of unparalleled rigor and professionalism. Despite the distance, her schedule which seemed very busy. She agreed to help me with the realization of this editorial shooting.

The scenography 

We first imagined this shooting in two parts, the first in a riad in the middle of the medina of Marrakech, for the emblematic side. Then the second part in the Agafay desert, at sunset for the romantic side.

A budgetary approach

The cost of this inspiration shoot in Marrakech > around 5.000 €
The overall range on a basis of 100 guests for the organization of a wedding in Marrakech is about 30K€

Professional advice for future brides and grooms

“A wedding abroad requires a lot of preparation and organization. Be accompanied by a wedding planner for such a project seems essential to me. Very often, an organizer has an address book of carefully selected service providers, a considerable time saving!

Also, the thing to think about when getting married abroad is transportation. Be aware that all companies offer group rates from 10 people (+ or –, depending on the company). Remember to book your tickets as early as you can to avoid a price increase!

And then, if you have chosen Marrakech, let yourself be carried away by the magic of the moment!”
