Modern Romance
at Château Bouffémont

A contemporary ode to French romanticism

In the majestic salons of Castle BouffémontRomanticism takes on a new face. More modern, more couture, infinitely refined. Conceived by Sarah Imqilqane, founder of the agency With Amour EventsThis editorial imagines a wedding where the heritage of grand French receptions meets a contemporary aesthetic inspired by fashion and design.

Deep burgundy velvet, sculptural silhouettes, ethereal flowers, and subtly retro details combine to create a strikingly elegant setting. Blending 50s influences with contemporary minimalism, each element interacts delicately to create a sophisticated, timeless, and distinctly editorial atmosphere.

Captured with sensitivity by Louise Leveau Photo and enhanced by the cinematic gaze of Pierre FrogerModern Romance celebrates a certain idea of luxury: that of emotions, of perfectly thought-out detail and of beauty that transcends time.

How did the initiative for this shooting come about?

Sarah: "Passionate about aesthetics, creativity and the world of weddings, I founded With Amour Events almost three years ago. Specializing in wedding design and floral art, my ambition is to imagine unique and refined decorations.

To boldly embrace 2025, I've taken on a new challenge: organizing my very first styled wedding shoot. A high-end wedding where every detail is meticulously planned, brought to life by a team of experts. This project is a precious opportunity to meet new vendors, collaborate, and inspire future brides and grooms with a romantic and timeless editorial.

A true ode to love, enhanced by elegance and modernity.

The location of the photoshoot in Ile-de-France

Le Castle Bouffémont It is one of the iconic wedding venues in France. With its majestic architecture and timeless charm, it transports us through time and reveals traces of the past. Both imposing and welcoming, it offers refined spaces, perfect for an intimate and elegant photoshoot.

The shooting team

For this shoot, I assembled a team based on genuine passions. Each vendor shared a common vision of high-end weddings, a love for aesthetics, and a keen creative eye. Together, we worked diligently to ensure a result that met our expectations.

Photographers

To capture every moment with sensitivity and aesthetics, I chose to collaborate with three talented photographers – Louise, Clea, and SoleneEach of them brought her unique touch, while maintaining a shared aesthetic. Modernity, attention to detail, emotion, and a touch of film: each perspective enriched the artistic direction of the shoot. Their expertise and commitment were invaluable in refining and enhancing my vision.

The videographer

The style of Pierre Froger It perfectly matched the desired atmosphere. A specialist in luxury weddings, he excels at capturing emotion and highlighting every detail. His use of Super 8 film added a retro touch that gave the shoot a unique soul.

Stationery & Signage

I have collaborated with on several occasions Mei CreationsAnd it was a natural fit to include it in this project. Our worlds are complementary, and for me, stationery is the finishing touch that adds character to a high-end design. We share a taste for bespoke work and a love of challenges, which makes our collaboration consistently smooth and inspiring.

The Art of Table Setting

With The Little GermansWe share a common passion for vintage tableware. Their wide selection of refined dishes allows me to create unique and elegant compositions. The balance between tradition and sophistication was essential for this shoot, and the choice of tableware perfectly contributed to this atmosphere.

The models

Diana and SamiA real favorite! This mixed and charismatic couple was the very essence of my inspiration for this shoot, perfectly embodying the atmosphere I wanted to create.

Jewelry

Richard, from Carat and Me, is my beloved jeweler, the one who designed my wedding rings. It was obvious to me to surround myself with trusted suppliers who shared my vision and high standards.

The wedding cake

Gabriella's expertise and attention to detail led us to choose GK Sugar Art for the creation of a modern and monochrome wedding cake, in perfect harmony with the entire project.

Wedding dresses

The dresses played a key role in the art direction of the shoot. They accentuated Diana's curves while perfectly embodying the desired retro aesthetic. The support of Top Bridal has been a real asset in this quest for perfection.

The groom's suit

As for Sami's suit, its embossed print provided that subtle vintage touch, ideal without being over the top. A perfect choice, recommended by The Apiéceur.

Wedding Content Creator

I had noticed the work of Candid & Co I had been wanting to collaborate with her for a while and was waiting for the opportunity. Her attention to detail, her choice of music, and her meticulous editing perfectly matched my vision for Modern Romance's social media content.

MUHA

The “no make-up” make-up of Nina was the perfect option. It enhances the natural beauty of its models without distorting it.

Vintage car rental

The car of 4 VIP chauffeurs was a real favorite, perfect for capturing moments of complicity between the couple while highlighting the charisma of our models.

Design

My design vision is based on the complementarity of several elements. I chose modern furniture and fabrics, which harmonize perfectly with more traditional stationery and tableware, thus creating a subtle balance between contemporary and classic.

floral design

For the flowers, I opted for varieties that will be trendy in 2025, guaranteeing a look that is both modern and minimalist. Flowers such as anthuriums, amaranths, and calla lilies bring a contemporary touch, while textured flowers and airy plants infuse the whole arrangement with lightness and fluidity.

Each service provider contributed to bringing this project to life with passion and precision. A harmonious team, united by a shared vision of aesthetics and refinement.

The scenography of wedding inspiration at Château Bouffémont

Elegance and modernity are the key words.
Passionate about travel and architecture, I drew my inspiration from the majestic aesthetic of castles, symbols of traditional French weddings. My goal: to create a world where the past meets the present, where timeless elegance merges with subtle modernity.

The influence of the 50s, embodied by the icon Grace Kelly, enhances this balance. Her refinement shines through in the choice of jewelry, the silhouettes of the outfits, and the meticulous staging, evoking the glamour of yesteryear. A vintage car completes this chic and sophisticated atmosphere. The tableware, with its vintage inspirations, blends with elegant stationery, while each accessory embodies a harmony between tradition and modernity.

The floral design adopts a decidedly contemporary approach. The airy compositions, blending flowers and delicate foliage, bring a natural and poetic touch. The color palette reinterprets classic red with deep shades of burgundy, offering a bold and refined vision.

Finally, light and airy fabrics like silk chiffon and tulle adorn the space, instilling a sense of fluidity and poetry. A wedding where every detail tells a story, between heritage and renewal, to celebrate love with elegance and modernity.

Professional advice for future brides and grooms

Choose a wedding that reflects your personality, an event you will savor every moment of, even in 20 or 30 years.

It is essential to choose your service providers carefully. They should not only be chosen for their expertise and understanding of your expectations, but also because you share a common vision.

These professionals will be there to support you, guide you, and transform your dreams into reality. Surround yourself with a united team, capable of working in perfect harmony to create a wedding that reflects you, true to your desires and personality.
