How did the initiative for this shooting come about?

"We started from the observation that there is little lgbtq+ representation in marriage and yet so much love to highlight on this earth. So we had the irresistible urge to represent them all in our own way so that each type of love shines even brighter.

It was very important for us to organize this shooting around two models with values in line with what we wanted to represent: Love for all. Alaïa & Deivy were a real favorite for the whole team. They perfectly embody the universe of the shooting, they are the heart of Rainbow of love.

The divine Alaïa was THE ray of sunshine of the shooting and also an obvious choice. She knows how to do everything: model, voguing and even acting.

Deivy, with her sensitivity and impertinence, mixed with her professionalism and her sense of fashion, was an obvious choice for us.

Because love has no gender, love has no race, love has no religion, love is universal. And the greatest freedom is to choose who to share it with."

Colorful wedding at Domaine de Brés

“We were lucky enough to spend three days in a dream setting at Domain of Bres. An estate nestled at the top of a huge valley in the heart of the south of France. We chose it for its peaceful and festive side. It is a unique estate, completely out of time, the perfect place for an elopement or for a wedding in complete privacy. We felt at home thanks to the immense kindness of Gilles & Yohan. »

The shooting team

"Rainbow of Love is for us a call to the sensual, the intimate and the audaciousWe imagined a colorful, minimalist and luminous universe.

For the scenography, we called on the sparkling Solène, of Love and Ink. It was very important for us to highlight providers with a talent that we particularly like. Solène knew how to perfectly sublimate our ideas and create several universes.

For the floral part, we wanted someone close to the estate in order to be able to recommend local service providers. It is thanks to Solène that we discovered Maadi Workshop. Marianne and Isabelle a sublime mother/daughter duo who work with gentleness and kindness. For the flowers, we wanted something colorful but refined and minimalist.

Styling was a very important part, because we wanted the outfits to fit with the colorful universe of the shooting and its different scenes that we had imagined.

Our first mission was to find a colorful and unique dress. While doing our research, we came across the sublime DUNE dress by the designer Royal Soul. We instantly fell in love with this pink tulle dress. So we contacted Samantha, with whom we had already had the chance to work together on another project. She was immediately up for participating in the shoot.

Since we had several pictures in mind for this shoot, we also wanted several outfits. After falling in love with the dress of the day "DUNE" byRoyal Soul, our heart fell for THE perfect dress for the evening, the “DIVA”. A sumptuous sequined dress with long, puffy sleeves, perfect for the sensual side of the shoot.

For the last scene, a pool party atmosphere, we absolutely wanted a swimsuit from the wedding collection from Luz collection. Samantha also suggested the idea of a beaded fringed kimono to add over the swimsuit. The result was absolutely perfect!

In terms of bridal shoes, we opted for a modern, elegant and very comfortable touch. Heels from Chamberlan Paris are, for us, ideal for enjoying and dancing until the end of the night.

Regarding the styling of our male model Deivy, we wanted a perfect harmony with the dresses in order to create “matchy-matchy” looks. We were looking for two modern and elegant suits. A first colored suit and for the second suit a black tuxedo. Paris River Banks, had the two perfect suits for what we had in mind! The peach suit was perfect to match with Alma Real's "DUNE" dress with an equally casual side, which we really loved. For the evening part, we wanted to bet on elegance with a touch of sensuality, what's better than the classic tuxedo? But without a shirt please!

We also went for two very bold and colorful costumes. Pink for her and green for him, casual but very modern outfits, ideal for a civil ceremony!

For the beauty treatment, we called on the gentle sakina. We wanted to stay in something quite natural on the makeup of the day given that we had a very strong dress. We nevertheless wanted a nice job for Alaïa's hair. On the other hand, for the makeup of the evening, we bet on a graphic makeup with two lines of eyeliner in the outer corner and on the mobile eyelid. For the hair, slicked and wet effects always for the sensual side of the picture.

Behind the stationery, hides The Bandit Papers. The modern, offbeat and graphic stationery e-shop in summer and festive atmospheres. This is totally the style of stationery we needed for this shooting! Céline therefore made us perfect invitations in pop colors and a modern design, it was the ideal final touch.

All the service providers did a wonderful job, we had a great team that was attentive, caring and who gave their all to achieve an incredible result!”

The artistic direction

"We wanted to tell a true love story through rainbow of love. Within the shooting, there is therefore three great universes and three different paintings within the shooting. It was also very important for us to highlight the different places of the estate and to put the place forward.

The first universe is that of celebration around the big YES. An intimate ceremony, a lunch and a passion for love. We wanted to create a minimalist and very colorful universe for this painting.

For the second part of the shooting, we imagined a intimate, sensual and romantic picnic while keeping a touch of impertinence and good vibes while enjoying an evening for two. Candles, warm lights, cousins, champagne… the perfect romantic picnic!

The evening part was also very important for us to highlight Alaia's crazy talent for voguing. She is part of theIconic House of Miyake Mugler and we really wanted to dedicate part of the shoot to highlighting this sublime discipline. For those who don't know, voguing is a dance style that developed in the 1970s in clubs frequented by Latino and African-American gays, mainly in New York, and which was exported to Paris in the 2010s.

Finally, for the last part and the last universe, we absolutely wanted to use the super swimming pool of the Domaine de Brés. Our two lovers therefore threw themselves into the water for a fun and sensual pool party.

Professional advice for future brides and grooms

The decoration of the evening part is just as important as the decoration of your day. For beautiful party images, focus on the light: lots of candles, warm-toned fairy lights, white lighting is ideal for the dancefloor to avoid your party images being red, purple or even blue.
Your wedding day is a unique and very intense day that often goes by very quickly. Consider planning a brunch the next day to extend the festivities. but also to relax. It is also a perfect moment to do a more intimate photo shoot for two in more casual attire. And above all to keep unique memories!
Finally, the best advice is STAY YOURSELFYour day should reflect you and your love.
