Spring Romance at the Chartreuse de Valbonne
In a mystical breath, the team of Workshop of Christophe Serrano met in Occitania at the Charterhouse of Valbonne. A wedding inspiration with dreamlike notes twisted by details that are both modern and spiritual.
With his images and his words, Marion Pinel shares her perspective on this workshop in which she participated…
The Chartreuse de Valbonne in Occitania
“Let me take you behind the scenes of an extraordinary editorial shoot. The setting: the Charterhouse of Valbonne, former monastery of the Carthusian order, in the Gard department and the Occitanie region.
The South of France is a true gem for brides looking for a change of scenery and luxury, and it is in this magnificent region that place this wedding editorial shoot.

The scenography
“The themes: modernity, spirituality and audacity.
And the result: a modern and captivating photo series.
The connection between the natural elements with which the Chartreuse was built and the raw, mineral materials used for the bride's accessories and the wedding table creates perfect harmony.
The shoot begins with photos of the bride in her satin robe, posing in very modern and avant-garde poses. The soft and silky satin contrasts with the rough and raw stones of the Chartreuse, allowing for an interesting and stimulating contrast. The bride appears both fragile and strong, confident and vulnerable.

Then, the bride appears in her wedding dress. The dress is imposing and takes up the very straight, almost geometric lines that the architecture of the place can offer us. The earrings also recall the raw materials that we encounter throughout our journey. We thus find a transformed bride who radiates confidence and elegance, while retaining a little something mystical.
In an intimate part offered to us by the cloister, the bride begins to dance in the middle of drapes, in a scene worthy of a spiritual offering. The dance is full of grace and lightness, bringing an even deeper dimension to the theme of spirituality. The drapes bring a touch of elegance and voluptuousness.
The final result is an editorial shoot that inspires, fascinates and amazes. The bride is both fragile and strong, modern and mystical, bold and elegant. She is a multifaceted woman that everyone will want to discover.
