Amao Wedding is a Bordeaux-based photography and videography duo, a couple in real life, married for over ten years. Our approach to weddings begins well before the big day: we create a genuine connection with our couples beforehand, so that when the time comes, we arrive not as vendors, but as people you trust. We work like documentary filmmakers, observing and anticipating, to allow natural images to emerge, without ever being passive. We intervene judiciously when necessary, creating the conditions for things to become simple, authentic, and beautiful. Working together allows us to bring complementary perspectives to every moment: Nikita is attentive to silences, details, and subtleties; Nicolas brings rhythm, movement, and energy.

Experience

Amao Wedding represents ten years of experience in wedding photography, marked by pauses, detours, and ever-sharpening returns. In parallel, ten years spent filming live performance: the stage, the fleeting light, the moment that cannot be recreated. It is there that we learned the essentials: to read a space, anticipate movement, capture what lasts only a second. For the past two years, we have combined these two worlds to serve weddings, offering photo and video coverage conceived as a coherent whole, driven by a unique and complementary vision.

We offer comprehensive wedding photo and video packages, designed to work together seamlessly. We provide clear collections as a starting point, but since every wedding is unique, we are happy to create a bespoke package. We can be with you throughout your entire weekend: from the welcome dinner to the brunch the following morning.

Style

Our visual style isn't limited to a single genre; that's precisely what defines us. We love luminous, authentic images that capture the exact atmosphere of a moment. But we also love more contrasted images, where shadow and light interact and create depth. We use grainy images for a vintage touch and black and white when the emotion calls for it. Our approach is both deliberate and thoughtful, inspired by editorial aesthetics, and also includes candid shots that are dynamic, vibrant, and spontaneous.
